WASHINGTON, DC: Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris used her running mate Tim Walz's cat picture to take a subtle jab at GOP vice presidential pick JD Vance for his "childless cat ladies" remark from 2021.

Notably, Harris introduced her running mate Tim Walz at a raucous rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 6, and said that Walz is "the kind of vice-president America deserves". The rally showcased Democratic unity and enthusiasm for the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the election.

Kamala Harris uses Tim Walz's cat to troll JD Vance

The Democratic presidential campaign posted a video montage across several social media platforms which showcased many pics of Tim Waltz’s rescue cat, Afton, along with the caption, "Cat people for Harris-Walz".

The video was an indirect jab at GOP running mate Vance who stirred a controversy lately for his "childless cat ladies" remark in 2021 during an interview with Tucker Carlson.

During the interview, Vance said that the US is run by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too".

He added, "It’s just a basic fact – you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC – the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?"

Harris wrote in a campaign message on Tuesday, "Tim is a battle-tested leader who has an incredible track record of getting things done for Minnesota families. I know that he will bring that same principled leadership to our campaign, and to the office of the vice president."

Walz confirmed the acceptance as he wrote on social media, "I’m all in. Vice President Harris is showing us the politics of what’s possible. It reminds me a bit of the first day of school."

President Joe Biden wrote on X, "The Harris-Walz ticket will be a powerful voice for working people and America’s great middle class. It’s time for all Democrats—and indeed all Americans—committed to freedom, democracy, and American leadership in the world to rally behind the Harris-Walz ticket."

JD Vance slammed after Kamala Harris' cat post

Many people on the internet trolled JD Vance after Kamala Harris used Tim Walz's cat's photo to take a subtle jab at Vance for his "childless cat ladies" remark.

One social media user wrote on X, "Cats for harris zoom call asap," while one remarked, "Swifties will be voting for Harris-Walz."

One person stated, "So basically got all the votes of the Swifties," whereas another wrote, "Cat lovers unite! Harris-Walz has got the feline-friendly vote."

One individual commented, "JD Vance is weird," while another wrote, "The opposition hates cat people, Charli xcx, Taylor Swift and Beyonce."

One person said, "Kittens rise up," whereas another wrote, "#CatPeopleForHarrisWalz #HarrisWalz2024."
