While appearing on GNB, Goldsmith expressed his surprise when Middleton admitted to editing the photo.

“When it came out I said there’s not a chance in hell that Catherine would have photoshopped that herself. And then she says she did so my inside track went sideways there,” he said.

He emphasized that the picture showed a beautiful family and that their smiles should have been the focus, not the controversy over the sleeves.

"...The obvious thing that I can see in the picture is that they are a beautiful family. And the smiles should have been the center stage not sleeve gate," he told the station.

The 42-year-old Princess has been privately recovering from a planned abdominal surgery in January.

She broke her silence on her recovery on March 10 while celebrating the UK’s Mother’s Day, sharing a new photo with her three kids: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

The portrait, taken by Prince William sparked concerns about Middleton's health as royal watchers speculated that the image had been doctored.

Multiple news outlets issued a “kill notice,” claiming the photo had been manipulated. Middleton later confirmed that she had been experimenting with photo editing software.

"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” the Princess of Wales wrote in a statement. “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day.”

Gary Goldsmith says Kate Middleton has 'the best support system' to look after her health

Goldsmith shut concerns over Kate's health by praising Kate’s support system.

“She has the best support on the planet. I think she’s got the best support infrastructure on the planet. She has got the best people looking after her," Goldsmith said.

He added, "I just don't understand all this stuff at the moment."

As reported by Kensington Palace, the Princess of Wales is expected to return to her royal duties after Easter, as fans continue to rally in her support.

Some blamed the Royal Family for throwing her under the bus, while others defended her use of Photoshop.

“Everyone Photoshops… give it a rest,” one fan wrote. Another added, “I like Princess Catherine. I hope she is doing well and recovering well, fortunately she is from a stable family and has her own beautiful family.”

Despite the controversy, many fans expressed their continued support for Kate as one more wrote, "They (the RF) totally threw her (C) under the bus. Harry and Meghan told everyone. This is what they do."

One questioned, "So William is making his wife take the “fall?” Another Instagram user added, "The whole thing is just strange."
