Former talk show host Wendy Williams caused a stir when she announced that she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). However, this is not the only time 'The Wendy Williams Show' host has shocked her fans. Throughout her prolific career, Wendy has been known to make unfiltered and brutal comments about celebs. Some of these comments led to decade-long feuds with other celebrities.

1. Wendy Williams reveals Method Man’s wife’s cancer diagnosis

Wendy Williams and Method Man had a major feud that began in 2006 when Williams revealed on her WBLS radio show that Tamika Smith, the rapper's wife, had been diagnosed with cancer. Although Method Man and his wife wanted to keep the diagnosis a secret, Williams's on-air announcement jeopardized their plan. The rapper appeared on 'The Breakdown' and slammed Williams for revealing the sensitive information, saying, “I’d like to thank Wendy Williams for bringing that to the masses ’cause she didn’t have to go on the radio and say that shit." He added, per Complex, “I like to keep stuff like that private but yeah, [my wife] was sick. That ain’t nobody’s f**king business. That’s her business, she didn’t want anybody to know about it. I respected her wishes right there.”

2. Wendy Williams reveals Kelly Ripa’s secret wedding to Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa once said that Wendy Williams broke the news of her marriage to Mark Consuelos live on television. After meeting in 1995 on the set of 'All My Children,' Ripa and Consuelos eloped to Las Vegas the following year. Ripa said back then, "Our secret wedding, discovered by none other than Wendy Williams. True facts, I'm not kidding," before adding, "We'd eloped. It'd been a few months at that point. We'd been married for three months. Nobody at [All My Children] knew we were even dating, much less married to each other." She recalled, "We're brushing our teeth, and we've got Wendy Williams’ radio show on. We're listening, and she's like, 'I've got celebrity dish,'" and added, "The celebrities, I guess they had a broad use of the term back then, was the fact that two soap stars from 'All My Children', Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos ... eloped in Las Vegas." "There was this eyewitness that worked in the Clark County courthouse that said we eloped, and the news broke, and we had to tell everybody we were married," explained Ripa, per Toofab. 

3. Wendy Williams alleges Diddy was gay

In 1998, when Wendy Williams was working in radio, she hinted that Diddy might be gay. Wendy shared a photo of Diddy having his shorts pulled down by another man. However, the music mogul used his power to get Wendy fired from the Hot 97 radio station. This led to a feud between Wendy and Diddy that lasted for 20 years before they buried the hatchet in 2017, reports The Daily Beast.

4. Wendy Williams asks Whitney Houston about her drug problems

As Wendy Williams solidified her position as one of the most popular radio hosts, she often spoke about Whitney Houston and her life. In 2003, Houston agreed to do a phone interview with Williams for her radio show, which became infamous for more than one reason. During the interview, Wendy brazenly asked Houston if she had done drugs during that time after which Houston was enraged and cursed on air.

5. Wendy Williams suggests Tupac was raped while in prison

In 1995, Wendy Williams infamously claimed that Tupac Shakur was raped two years prior when he was serving a prison sentence. The rapper clapped back at her and said, “That ­disrespected me, my family and what I represent.” Tupac's diss track about Wendy, titled 'Why U Turn on Me?' was released after he died in 1996, reports Us Magazine.

6. Wendy Williams body-shames Ariana Grande

In 2015, Wendy Williams found herself at the receiving end of intense criticism after she mocked Ariana Grande for being too short. Referring to the popstar, she said, "She's 21. She'll forever look 12," before adding, "And I don't mean that in a good way. It's nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and then you're short—she's only like 4'11". I don't look at her as, like, a woman," per E! News.

7. Wendy Williams shades Lil' Kim

In 2013, Wendy landed in hot water after commenting on rapper Lil' Kim's face. During the Hot Topics segment of her eponymous show, Wendy once said, "Do you want to talk about Lil' Kim and that face of hers?" before adding, "It's filled so tight now, Kim, it looks like a pin would just pop you." "Kim, in my mind, I know your goal was always to look like La Toya Jackson." She continued, "You've out-La Toya'd La Toya in your new look, and don't blame Photoshopping. Blame your plastic surgeon, girl." What followed was a series of verbal onslaughts by the rapper who took to her social media account to slam Wendy. Lil' Kim posted and later deleted, "@WendyWilliams B***h Y didn't u show the side by side pic," before adding, "This pic is photoshopped & U know it. U hating B***h."In another post, the Grammy winner wrote, "@WendyWilliams it's time for the world to know the real. I'm not playing with yo a** no more. Let's get it!!!!!" per E! News.

8. Wendy Williams says Beyonce sounds like she has 'fifth-grade education'

While discussing Beyonce's HBO documentary during the 'Hot Topics' segment of her talk show, Wendy Williams once alleged the multiple Grammy-winning superstar can't talk. Saying that she is a fan of Beyonce and was looking forward to watching the documentary, Wendy said, "Fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has close captioning so I'm going to be understanding what she says," before adding, "You know Beyonce can't talk!" She then threw shades to the 'Crazy in Love' hitmaker and said she sounds like she has a "fifth-grade education." Following the audience's collective gasps, she added, "I said I'm a fan but we have to call a spade a spade," per Nicki Swift.
