Nonpartisanship and Independence

MEAWW does not endorse candidates, political parties, or ballot measures. Editorial decisions are independent of advertisers and commercial partners. Our journalists avoid political activity that could present a conflict with their reporting responsibilities.

We publish calls only when a reputable decision desk or official authority has declared a winner. Results remain “unofficial” until certified.

Election tallies and graphics include timestamps and source labels so readers know when the data last updated and who supplied it. When numbers are partial, we state that clearly and avoid headlines that outpace available data.

Sourcing and Right of Reply

When allegations are made, we reach out to all named parties for comment and include their response or document attempts to contact them.

Polls and Surveys

We treat polling as a snapshot, not a prediction. When citing polls, we include the pollster, sponsor, sample size, field dates, methodology, and margin of error. We do not treat unscientific online polls as data.
