EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

Last updated: September 2025

At MEAWW, editorial integrity is the foundation of our journalism. We are committed to reporting news that is accurate, fair, timely, and transparent. Our audience trusts us to deliver facts without distortion, and we take that responsibility seriously. These guidelines set out the standards we uphold in every story we publish.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We believe accuracy is non-negotiable. Every article we produce is expected to be factually sound and clearly sourced. Our reporters and editors verify information using primary sources whenever possible - including official statements, court records, government data, and direct interviews. When primary sources are not available, we rely on multiple reputable outlets to confirm details.

In breaking news situations, speed is important but never outweighs accuracy. If information cannot be verified, we either hold the story or clearly state what is unconfirmed. We also make a clear distinction between verified facts, expert analysis, and opinion.

Editorial Process

Our editorial workflow is designed to ensure both accuracy and clarity:

  • Assignment – Stories are assigned by senior editors, often with specific angles or reporting priorities.
  • Reporting and Drafting – Reporters gather facts, conduct interviews, and draft the article.
  • Fact-Checking – Editors verify claims, confirm quotes, and cross-reference data before approval.
  • Final Review – A senior editor reviews the piece for tone, fairness, readability, and compliance with MEAWW’s editorial standards.

If a story includes affiliate links or sponsored content, it undergoes a separate review to ensure transparency. All sponsored content is clearly labeled so readers can distinguish between editorial and commercial material.

Corrections and Updates

We acknowledge that mistakes can happen. When an error is identified, we correct it as quickly as possible. Significant corrections are noted within the article, along with the date and nature of the change.

For minor clarifications - such as adding context or updating a developing story - we may revise content without a formal correction note, but we will always indicate when substantial updates have been made.

If you spot an error or wish to request a correction, please email editor@meawwworld.com. Our team reviews every request promptly.

Editorial Independence

News MEAWW is funded through advertising and commercial partnerships, but our journalism is produced independently of business interests. No advertiser, sponsor, or partner influences the stories we cover or the conclusions we reach.

We follow industry standards for transparency in advertising. Sponsored content is clearly labeled, and affiliate links are disclosed in line with regulatory requirements. Editorial staff do not accept payment or gifts in exchange for coverage.

Fairness and Representation

We aim to give readers a balanced understanding of every story. Our journalists are expected to:

  • Seek out multiple perspectives, especially on sensitive issues.
  • Provide context rather than sensationalism.
  • Avoid language that stereotypes, discriminates, or unfairly frames individuals or groups.

We are also committed to inclusive representation. Our reporting actively seeks voices across different genders, regions, and communities, ensuring our coverage reflects the diverse audiences we serve.

How to Contribute or Provide Feedback

We welcome contributions from freelance journalists and writers who share our values of accuracy and fairness. If you would like to pitch a story idea, please send your proposal and samples of your work to editor@meawwworld.com with “Freelance Pitch” in the subject line.

If you have questions about our editorial process, feedback on our reporting, or concerns about published content, you can also reach us at contact@meawwworld.com. Every message is read and taken seriously.
