‘One thing was strange’: ‘90 Day Fiance’ star Stephanie Matto reveals ‘weird’ reason why she was fired from nanny job by famous athlete

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephanie Matto of '90 Day Fiance' fame recently disclosed some aspects of her stint as a babysitter for a renowned athlete, particularly highlighting peculiar interactions that could have led to her dismissal.

In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Matto revealed receiving flirtatious messages on Instagram from an anonymous account that featured her employer's team logo as its profile picture.

During the tell-all TikTok, Matto mentioned that the sports personality resides in New York City and is a parent to a daughter, as per People.

Stephanie Matto points out red flags in athlete employer's behavior

Stephanie Matto took to TikTok to share some details of her experience working for the family of a prominent athlete, although she mentioned she couldn't disclose everything due to a non-disclosure agreement.

In her video, Matto started by explaining how she was an ideal fit for the family. 

At the time, she was attending acting school and could easily pick up the athlete’s daughter from her private school in the afternoons and take her to their home on New York City’s Upper West Side. 

Matto also met the family's requirements for a bilingual caretaker who could play the piano.

In the TikTok, which gained over 668,000 views within two days, she continued, "They immediately hired me. This job seemed like any other job, very routine. The daughter was super well-behaved. But there was one thing that was very, very strange, and that was the father." 

Matto revealed that she rarely interacted with the girl’s father, except for the occasional encounter when he was home during her shift. 

During these encounters, the former reality star noted that the athlete showed a growing interest in her life and aspirations as a performer.

"I told him that I was in acting school and he said, ‘Oh, I should have figured. You're so beautiful,'" she recounted. "I took the compliment, but now looking back on it, I see that this was a red flag."

How Stephanie Matto lost her job as nanny

On another occasion, Matto alleges that her well-known employer "[pressed] his body against me" while reaching for a kitchen drawer she was blocking while preparing food for his daughter. 

Once again, Matto dismissed it as an inconsequential incident. Matto herself admits she isn’t interested in sports, so she had no clue about her new employer's identity. However, when she disclosed her employer's name to her stepfather, his reaction was one of shock.

According to Matto, things took a "very, very weird" turn afterward. She noticed a new follower on Instagram with a team logo as its profile picture. 

Unfamiliar with professional sports, she didn't recognize the design as belonging to any specific team. 

Matto revealed, "This account that's following me starts to slide in my DMs and is saying things like, ‘You're so very beautiful.’ ‘I wish I could get a chance to get to know you.’"

"One day I put two and two together when the father comes home during one of my shifts," she recalled in the nearly three-minute confession. "He's wearing a cap on his head with the logo that I recognize is from that Instagram profile. My heart sank into my stomach."

Upon returning home from work, Matto decided to confront the Instagram user. She sent a message warning, "If it is who I think it is, they need to stop," but she still wasn't certain about the identity of her anonymous follower. 

"At this point, I think it's maybe, I don't know, like a 1% chance that it is this guy," Matto said in the video, referring to her athlete employer. 

"A couple of hours later, I noticed that this person is no longer following me and they're no longer on Instagram," she adds. "And two days later I get a text message from the family letting me know that they no longer need my nannying services."

Matto concludes her story with uncertainty, admitting she still isn't sure if the father was behind the messages or if it was merely a coincidence.

The unfavorable experience as a nanny led Matto to put an end to her career in high-profile childcare. "Ever since then, I've never gone back to nannying for rich people," she asserts in her video's conclusion.
