‘About time': Internet not surprised as AEW star CJ Perry reveals ‘difficult decision’ to end 7-year-marriage with Miro

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: CJ Perry has ended her marriage with Miro after being together for 7 years. The AEW star confirmed her split to TMZ, and talked about her ‘difficult decision'.

"Miro and I have made the difficult decision to separate after many wonderful years together, and have decided to move on as friends, and hopefully onscreen characters somewhere down the road," she said.

Rusev and Lana's love story ends

The couple, referred to as Rusev and Lana in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), simply grew apart over the years, but plan to remain friends. Miro and Perry got hitched in 2016, and do not have any children together.

Previously, Miro was the US Champion and Perry was reportedly dating Dolph Ziggler during their WWE days.

Miro is back in Bulgaria after they called it quits, as per media outlets.

Perry was born into a wealthy Russian family where her neighbors were ex-presidents, diplomats, and other influential political figures.

The wrestling champion attended Florida State University, where she not only learned English but also majored in Foreign Affairs, Business, and Social Media Marketing.

She went on to become a successful WWE star, actress, singer, model and even dated actor and former American football player Isaiah Mustafa.

Perry married AEW wrestler Barnyashev, better known by his ring names Rusev and Miro, in 2016.

She was key in leading her husband to three United States Championships and twice teamed with him for the Mixed Match Challenge in the WWE.

Fans saw CJ Perry and Miro's split coming

Several fans reacted to their split over social media.

“Things were never the same after Bobby Lashley,” said one.

"I think it's been pretty clear for a while that they're not together anymore," the second wrote.

"It's about Damn time, a long time coming. He really needs get back into the ring," wrote another fan.
