Alicia Brea: Florida mom sent photo of ‘stomping’ on infant to father to make him ‘come back to her’

BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: A teenage mother was apprehended on Thursday, May 9, following allegations that she was abusing her 10-month-old baby.
This comes after a friend informed the police that she had received an image showing the defendant Alicia Brea, from Hollywood, Florida, purportedly "stomping" on her infant child.

As per her arrest report, a friend of Alicia Brea contacted 911 shortly before 6 pm on May 9, reporting that Brea had sent her images of her "stomping" on her infant.
Upon their arrival at Brea's residence, the police did not observe visible injuries to the baby. According to the report, following Brea's consent to a phone search, officers accessed her messages and found the picture of Brea stepping on her child's face.
Police found out that Brea had split from the baby's father and had sent the picture to him in an attempt to make him "come back to her".

According to the affidavit, "[Brea] stated she was upset with her baby's father and sent him a picture of her stepping [with her right foot] on the baby's head to see if the baby's father would come back to her."
The affidavit, “[Brea] stated she and the baby's father had broken up earlier today and [she] was very upset," as per Mirror.
"The baby was wearing the same outfit [in the photo] when officers made contact."
Subsequent investigations disclosed that the defendant had forwarded additional images of the unharmed child to the father, purportedly to show that she "would never hurt the baby".
The child was entrusted to the care of Child Protective Services, while Brea was transported to Broward County Jail. She is now facing one count of child abuse without causing great bodily harm.
Following her release on a $20,000 (£16,000) bond, the judge imposed several conditions, including wearing a GPS monitor and refraining from any contact with the child.
Additionally, Brea was mandated to undergo a mental health evaluation within 10 days and comply with any recommendations from the healthcare provider.
