Analiesa Golde: Portland woman accused of killing husband found dead after being on the run for a month
PORTLAND, OREGON: A Portland female suspect, who is accused of killing her husband, was found dead on Tuesday, February 20, after being on the run for nearly a month, authorities said.
In a statement, the Portland Police Bureau said that Analiesa Golde of Oregon was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound near Long Beach, a coastal town in southwest Washington.
Golde’s Toyota 4Runner was also recovered. She was wanted in connection to the murder of her husband, 37-year-old Phillip E Pierce, in Portland, Oregon, as per KGW.
When was Phillip E Pierce found dead?
Pierce was found dead on January 26 in the Lents neighborhood of Portland. Police had responded to a home in the 9300 block of Southeast Sun Crest Drive after getting a call about a missing person. Police forced entry into the locked home to conduct a welfare check and said Pierce was found dead under "suspicious" circumstances.
It was later revealed that Pierce had suffered a gunshot wound, and his death was determined to be the result of a homicide. Golde was later named a suspect in her husband’s killing and was wanted for second-degree murder.
As Golde’s whereabouts remained unknown, investigators announced on February 6 that they were expanding the search to southwest Washington and warned at the time that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
Fox-affiliated KPTV reported, “If you see Ana, be very careful. She is a marksman. She can shoot guns that have knocked me on my butt and hit her target in the process. Be very careful, but please help us find her,” Philip Pierce's mother Stacy said at that time.
Phillip E Pierce and Analiesa Golde's relationship was apparently rough
Stacy expressed uncertainty about her ability to move on and heal. “Our family is crushed. We’re broken. We just want to have her found,” Pierce said, according to KPTV. “I don’t know how you heal. How do you heal? How do you heal when somebody murders your child? We just want her found, we want her gone,” she added.
Pierce clarified that although her son's marriage seemed to be going well on the outside, her son was actually taking the necessary steps to file for divorce. “Phil had seen an attorney shortly before he was murdered,” Stacy said, adding “Their relationship was rough.”
Stacy stated that she will never be able to bring her son back. “I just want Phil to be remembered as the wonderful, friendly fun. He was a blast and he loved to laugh. We’re going to miss him,” she said.
