MANHATTAN BEACH, CALIFORNIA: The Gianan family is grappling with grief and seeking justice after 24-year-old Andrei "Nico" Gianan was fatally shot in the head on New Year's Day in Manhattan Beach, Southern California.

Authorities are actively searching for suspects in connection with the 'senseless act of violence' that claimed the young man's life.

Gianan had left work in San Pedro on New Year's Eve and headed to Manhattan Beach, where the tragedy unfolded on the 1400 block of 11th Street around 1 am.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department, while not classifying the incident as a random attack, is working diligently to piece together the events leading to Gianan's untimely death.

Describing the shooting as a "total, senseless act of violence," the family is now desperate for answers.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the Gianan family, raising nearly $19,000 of its $20,000 goal to cover funeral costs and related expenses. The page emphasizes the pain the family is enduring, stating, "The pain that this has left us is unimaginable."

In a heartbreaking update, the family shared that Gianan, known for his infectious smile and caring nature, was an organ donor. His heart, lung, liver, kidneys, and pancreas will be donated, ensuring that "Nico's light lives on in the many lives he will save," according to the GoFundMe.

Two of Gianan's four siblings, Karl and Nina, are determined to seek justice for their brother.

Speaking to Fox 11, they expressed their commitment to finding answers in this devastating case. The family's description of Nico paints a picture of a young man known for his infectious smile, goofy personality, and big heart.
