WASHINGTON, DC: Dr Anthony Fauci's testimony revealed that the six-foot social distancing guideline and other measures were not based on scientific evidence but were implemented to "protect" Americans from Covid-19. Fauci disclosed this to the US House select subcommittee on the Coronavirus pandemic in January.

The Republicans released the full transcript of their interview with Fauci shortly before his public testimony scheduled for Monday, June 3.

They intend to question him regarding the Covid-19 restrictions he advocated, which he acknowledged had limited effect on controlling the virus's spread.

NIH study indicates that mask usage negatively impacts students

Furthermore, the impact of mask usage on students' literacy and learning has been significantly negative, according to a study by the National Institute of Health (NIH).

The impacts of social distancing have led to "depression, generalized anxiety, acute stress, and intrusive thoughts," according to another NIH study.

In a session with the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic earlier this year, Fauci informed Republicans that the six-foot social distancing guideline 'sort of just appeared' without his recollection of its origin.

"I don't recall. It sort of just appeared," he stated, as per the committee transcripts when questioned about the rule's inception, according to Daily Mail.

He admitted to not being aware of any studies that support the social distancing rule, conceding that carrying out such research "would be very difficult."

In addition to not recalling evidence supporting social distancing, Fauci also informed the committee's counsel that he did not remember reviewing any material suggesting that masking children would prevent Covid

He was questioned if he could "recall reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?"

"I might have," he responded before adding "but I don't recall specifically that I did."

Former NIAID director acknowledges lab leak theory

The pandemic figurehead also stated that he had not kept up with studies on the effects of mandatory mask-wearing on children, despite numerous such studies existing.

In a response that carried an ironic nod to Covid-19, he remarked, "I still think that's up in the air," when asked about the efficacy of masking children to prevent transmission.

Moreover, the ex-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) expressed to the counsel his view that the lab leak theory, which suggests Covid-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), is a credible "possibility."

"I think people have made conspiracy aspects from it,' he said, adding 'it could be a lab leak. "So I think that in and of itself isn't inherently a conspiracy theory, but some people spin off things from that that are kind of crazy."

His acknowledgment that Covid-19 might have originated from the WIV comes four years after he supported the publication of a paper that dismissed the lab leak theory, known as the Proximal Origin paper.

The coronavirus committee has spent months investigating the origins of the virus that has drastically affected countless lives and caused the deaths of 6 million people worldwide.

Former aide David Morens used Anthony Fauci's personal email for work

It has recently been revealed that Dr David Morens, Fauci's ex-top aide, frequently used his personal email for work and deleted files to circumvent government transparency laws under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

His disregard for FOIA requests was evident as he boasted in emails to colleagues about his ability to make official correspondence "disappear" and his intent to delete anything he did not "want to see in the New York Times."

The committee's discovery of emails from Morens revealed his claims of having a "secret back channel" to Fauci, allowing him to communicate clandestinely with the former NIAID director.

This revelation so profoundly shocked the committee's chairman, Brad Wenstrup of Ohio, that he demanded Fauci hand over his personal email and phone records to the investigative body.

Equally startling was Fauci's admission to the committee in January that he "never" reviews the grants he approves, some amounting to millions in taxpayer dollars.

"You know, technically, I sign off on each council, but I don't see the grants and what they are. I never look at what grants are there," he told the committee's counsel.

He expressed uncertainty about whether foreign laboratories receiving US grants, such as the WIV, which was researching coronaviruses with US taxpayer dollars when the pandemic began, adhere to the same standards as American labs.

Anthony Fauci denies national security reviews on NIAID grant funds

Fauci also mentioned that the funds distributed as part of the NIAID grant process did not undergo any national security reviews. Moreover, he claimed ignorance of any conflicts of interest among his staff, including his senior advisor, Dr Morens.

Nonetheless, Dr Morens admitted in his testimony on May 22 that he assisted his close friend, Dr Peter Daszak, President of EcoHealth Alliance, with the organization's work.

Dr Morens acknowledged his role in editing EcoHealth's press releases and efforts to reinstate the nonprofit's grant funding after it was cut off following the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020.

The NIH, Dr Morens' employer, provided substantial funding to Dr Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance.

Despite this, Dr Fauci maintained his lack of awareness regarding any potential conflicts of interest involving Dr Morens. The committee intends to further investigate the alleged covert communication between Dr Fauci and Dr Morens at the hearing on June 3.
