GULF BREEZE, FLORIDA: After his surgery-obsessed wife experienced a cardiac arrest while on his operating table, a Florida plastic surgeon is currently under investigation.

On November 21, Hillary Brown, 33, had surgery at her husband Dr Ben Brown's clinic, Restore Plastic Surgery, in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

However, midway through "several procedures," she experienced a medical emergency. Brown, a mother of three small children from a previous marriage, was taken off life support after it was discovered that her brain had been oxygen starved, and she remained unconscious for a week before dying.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is allegedly looking into multiple medical malpractice lawsuits against her husband's clinic.

She was "in the process of several surgical procedures when she was struck by the cardiac arrest, after being potentially overmedicated."

Marty Ellington, Hillary's father, told the Pensacola News Journal that Ben called him in a panic, ordering them to leave their Texas home immediately and head to Florida.

Ellington acknowledged that her marriage to Ben had not always been smooth, but she did enjoy having a plastic surgeon as a husband who could operate on her whenever she felt like it.

"She was gorgeous. We kept telling her, ‘Why are you doing this?'" he recalled.

According to his company profile, Ben is an award-winning surgeon who attended Georgetown University and graduated first in his medical school class. His areas of expertise are body contouring, facial rejuvenation, and breast enhancement.

Ellington speculated that if Hillary hadn't had the added benefit of regular plastic surgery, she might have wanted to leave Ben.

Hillary reportedly married Brown about two years ago. He described their union as "intense."

"I think that maybe she would want to leave... but she couldn't because the lifestyle was favorable," he remarked.

Her social media accounts also seem to indicate that the young mother underwent a significant plastic surgery makeover in recent years, and Ellington wondered if Ben was adhering to the right procedures because of the frequent procedures.

The surgeon, according to Ellington, informed them that they were "out of the medication they would typically use, so he substituted it with something else."

Additionally, he asserts that there was no crash cart containing defibrillators and oxygen in the operating room.

Ellington stated, "With the amount of swelling in her brain that means her brain suffered from lack of oxygen for quite some time," asserting that there was a deficiency of personnel who were appropriately trained and available to assist in an emergency. "We want answers," he went on.

"We haven’t been given answers. If it’s a mistake, it was a mistake, but it doesn’t bring my daughter back, you know. I don’t want his money. I don’t want anything. All I want is an answer because I think that we owe that to my daughter."

Ben Brown accused of medical malpractices

Ben Brown has been accused of medical malpractice in a recent incident involving a post-mastectomy reconstructive breast surgery.

The couple's $2.1 million Florida mansion was the scene of a call in March regarding a suicide.

Ben, who performed the surgery, admitted to taking Valium but denied being suicidal.

He paid tribute to his wife on social media, asking for a miracle. Brown's Restore Plastic Surgery has two medical malpractice lawsuits against it, with one listing Ben as a defendant, DailyMail reported.

The case is currently being heard in the Escambia County Circuit Court.

The family of Brown, who is under investigation, has condemned the allegations of malpractice and claims that the surgery was minor and routine, following proper medical protocols and trained staff. They claim their lives have been permanently upended by the loss of Hillary and will forever keep her in their hearts.
