WASHINGTON, DC: The Democratic National Committee (DNC) informed The Hill on Tax Day about its purchase of digital advertising criticizing Republican tax policies.

The ads are aimed at Google searches related to Tax Day and are strategically placed in key battleground states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Significantly, according to the advertisements, the DNC asserts that the Republicans' tax proposal will "provide tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations while deceiving hardworking families." These ads direct users to the website MAGATaxScam.com.

The DNC's ad purchase aims to guide voters in battleground regions to this website and underscore that the GOP's MAGAnomics agenda is merely a deceitful ploy when they search for "Tax Day."

DNC rapid response director Alex Floyd said in a statement, "There’s no day like Tax Day to remind voters how Donald Trump and Republicans’ MAGAnomics agenda would gift tax breaks to their ultra-rich cronies and greedy corporations at middle-class families’ expense."

Democrats have been particularly critical of Republicans regarding the budget proposal put forth by the Republican Study Committee, which was revealed in March.

Additionally, the budget plan, which proposed raising the retirement age for individuals not nearing retirement "to accommodate rising life expectancy," drew criticism from both the White House and President Biden's reelection campaign.

They contended that such a measure could potentially reduce funding for programs addressing the opioid crisis.

Republicans argue that the budget, aiming to cut spending by $17.1 trillion over a decade, will offset what they perceive as the negative impact of Biden's tax policies on the economy.

They claim that reducing taxes on Americans by $4.2 trillion over the same period will serve as a countermeasure.

Internet trolls DNC for launching digital ad to bash ‘MAGA Tax Scam’

Many people on the internet criticized the DNC for bringing in digital advertising that criticizes Republican tax policies.

A user wrote on X, "Tell me how Bidenomics is so much better," whereas one mentioned, "And what is Bidenomics? The greatest economic strategy ever? Go ahead, run on the economy more. Convince more people you have no idea what you are doing."

A user also stated, "Biden is a disaster. He was a senator for 36 years, VP for 8 years, president for 4 years, and delivered nothing but false promises and lies," while one added, "Scam? He’s already had four years and proved it works. You guys completely undid all his progress, now the country is in shambles, and the globe is about to jettison the dollar as their reserve currency it’s gotten so bad. Your economic policies are the scam."

A person also wrote, "What about the Democratic National Committee's use of Donor money to pay for President Biden's legal bills? After hearing this I may Suspend any further contributions to the DNC until I have assurance that my money is going towards the Candidate's. We need better transparency!"
