NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby's wife, Camille Cosby, is doing everything in her power to keep her husband well and to keep him safe from the outside world.

Camille Cosby is "trying to keep his health" in check by not letting Bill watch the news on television, according to an insider.

Multiple accusations of sexual assault against Bill Cosby began to surface in the 1960s. He was accused of felony aggravated indecent assault in 2015 about an event that happened in 2004 with Andrea Constand.

In the course of a 2018 trial, Bill was found guilty of drugging and assaulting her sexually, and he was given a 3 to 10-year jail sentence. His conviction was reversed and he was set free in 2021.

Bill Cosby's wife Camille 'shields him away' from outside world

The 86-year-old comedian had two "life-sustaining" operations in 2019 to remove blockages from his right and left carotid arteries. His period of incarceration had previously raised concerns about his high blood pressure.

According to a source close to the Cosbys, Camille "shields him away" from the outside turmoil surrounding the court cases. They avoid watching the news because it makes him feel "all up in arms" and raises his blood pressure, as per Radar Online.

The outlet further reported that the comedian no longer feels comfortable going in public and "fears for his life" due to his fear of being killed "for fame."

An informant revealed that Bill developed paranoia following the attack on comedian Dave Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl in May 2022, where a madman stormed the stage, assaulting Chappelle, and drawing a phony gun with a knife blade attached.

An insider revealed to Radar Online that Bill "fears someone might kill him to be famous" and that he "is scared to leave the house."

The publication stated that Bill "decided" not to conduct his comedy tour comeback following the Chappelle incident.

Bill Cosby's fear of public appearances

The comedian's choice to lead a solitary existence stems from more than only his health; it also stems from a pervasive concern for his safety.

Public performances have caused Bill anxiety since the Hollywood Bowl episode involving Chappelle's attack.

According to sources, Bill is afraid of being attacked or hurt because of his fame. Those who are close to him share this anxiety since they think he is not safe in public.

Bill's wife, Camille Cosby, has been his financial and health manager for more than 60 years. She was given power of attorney over his property and estate when he started to decline in health.

In light of the continuous difficulties and the couple's attempts to protect their assets for their family, this arrangement persisted even after he was released from prison.

Bill Cosby's journey from a famous public celebrity to a recluse who battled health problems and court disputes serves as a sobering reminder of the human and financial costs involved in protracted legal and public disputes.

Bill and his family continue to adjust their way of life and public appearances as they overcome these obstacles, putting their health and safety first despite continuous hardships.

Financial difficulties and lifestyle changes amid legal battles

Once used to an opulent lifestyle, the Cosby family is currently dealing with serious financial difficulties. Legal bills from continuing legal cases have put a significant strain on their finances, despite their estimated $400 million fortune.

According to family-friendly sources, Camille was supposed to be removed after the 'The Bill Cosby Show' star had his sentence reversed in 2021, but that never happened.

Bill and Camille are reportedly "in financial turmoil" as the number of legal actions against the comic keeps rising.

The pair has reportedly been "liquidating" their assets, pulling out "second mortgages," and selling their valuable artwork, according to a source.

According to the outlet, the Cosby family's supposedly "dire" financial circumstances have "dampened" their customary holiday gatherings.

Radar Online reported that Bill and Camille are spending a low-key Christmas at their Massachusetts home with their children and grandchildren, as opposed to the grandiose celebrations that the Cosbys are accustomed to.
