LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus, who filed for divorce from estranged wife Firerose in May after seven months of marriage, has accused her of overcharging his credit card.

According to recent court filings, the 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer, 62, has requested a restraining order against Firerose, 37, alleging "unauthorized" charges on his credit cards.

On May 22, the country music singer filed for divorce from Firerose—real name Johanna Rose Hodges—in a Tennessee court, citing "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct."

Cyrus filed an emergency motion on June 13 in a Tennessee court, requesting a temporary restraining order to prevent his ex-wife from using his personal and corporate credit cards or accounts in any way that is "unauthorized."

After the couple's split, the country music star discovered 37 illegal purchases that he claimed Firerose made on his business American Express card between May 23 and June 7.

In documents obtained by PEOPLE, Cyrus claimed that Firerose had spent $96,986 on 37 inappropriate expenditures on his company account, including payments to her attorneys totaling $70,665.

In an affidavit, Cyrus stated, "As a result of these fraudulent charges… I am concerned that Ms Hodges is in possession of other information that she may use to make fraudulent, unauthorized charges to my business and personal credit cards and accounts."

According to the court documents, the blonde beauty was accused of charging the US Treasury $10K, a law company over $50K, several flights, and Venmo payments, per OK! Magazine.

"Upon learning of the fraudulent use of Mr Cyrus' business American Express Card, American Express was notified, and the thirty-seven unauthorized charges are being disputed as fraudulent charges," the court filings stated.

Additionally, according to the lawsuit, Cyrus does not "believe that [Firerose] flew or was planning to fly to and from California on the dates of the scheduled flights purchased, but more likely purchased those flights and then canceled them to obtain future flight credits on Delta Airlines."

In the paperwork, Cyrus stated that the fraudulent charges began on May 23, the day he filed for divorce following a marriage of over seven months.

The Grammy-winning singer cited "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct" as reasons for the separation, and is also seeking marriage annulment based on fraud.

Firerose claimed to have access to Billy Cyrus' money 'for her personal and household expenses'

The 'Hannah Montana' star went on to claim that he never gave his estranged wife permission to access his cards and that she made the charges without his permission.

However, Cyrus' estranged wife, Firerose, has refuted the accusations in her court filings.

The singer stated that since moving in with the 'Hannah Montana' star in 2022, she has always had access to his credit cards. Firerose added that she had never been told how much she could spend.

According to TMZ, she has further claimed that, as long as the two are still married, she ought to be able to use Billy's money "for her personal and household expenses" and "attorney fees."

In addition, Cyrus stated that his credit card statement showed $50,000 as one of the expenditures.

However, the legal team defending Firerose asserted that it had already reimbursed $45,000, saying that at the time of the transaction, $5,000 was only supposed to be charged rather than $50,000, per Daily Mail.

Billy Cyrus reportedly accused Firerose of adultery

Following the couple's shocking divorce, a source also revealed to Us Weekly on Friday, June 14, that Cyrus had accused his former wife of adultery before requesting the annulment of their marriage.

The insider told the outlet, "Billy and Firerose were always fighting and the relationship was intense and toxic at times. Billy accused Firerose of cheating and it was the final straw for him."
