Further details about Flores' domestic dispute with his wife and the incidents involving him have been uncovered during the investigation.
Brett Flores refuses to leave couple’s $2M mansion
According to Daily Mail, The infamous squatter, Brett Flores, refuses to vacate a Long Island couple's $2 million residence. Flores gained attention for his appearance in risque male magazines, posing nude while using a fluffy pillow to cover himself. In an accompanying interview, he spoke playfully about enjoying dim lighting.
Despite claims of a nursing or caretaking career, which he believes grants him the right to remain in the mansion owned by Joseph and Susanna Landa, there is no mention of such activities.
The retired couple, currently in a legal battle with Flores, purchased the mansion in October for $2 million from the nephew of the previous owner, Bernie Fernandez. Flores alleges a private agreement with Fernandez, where he was paid $3,000 a week to provide care. It remains unclear if Flores' wife and child resided in the house during Fernandez's lifetime.
It is noteworthy that police were called to the property in December, ten months after Fernandez's death, due to a domestic dispute. Flores was arrested in December 2023 for assaulting his wife.
What happened between Brett Flores and his wife?
Brett Flores has a court date coming up for assaulting his wife. Police came to the house one morning in December 2023 because Flores and his wife were fighting about their baby, who was in the hospital.
The wife was recording the argument, but when she stopped, he pushed her and threw her to the floor. She hurt her left hand, wrist, and pelvis in the fight.
Interestingly, Flores has made bizarre statements about himself in the past including claims that he likes to sleep without clothes and that he's a villain who wants to rule the world.
Flores got in trouble for breaking a traffic rule in Queens on December 31, 2020. He had to pay a fine and lost two points from his driver's license. He also had his license taken away when he lived in California because he was involved in a burglary. He has lived in Hawaii, California, and Ohio, where he had problems with the law.
Flores claimed he had the right to live in the big house that belonged to Bernard Fernandez. Fernandez's neighbors remember him as a nice man who sometimes had a boyfriend, but they don't know much about Flores who is living in his house now.
Flores is fighting with the Landas, who bought the house so their son, who has Down syndrome, could have a safe place to live. People say the house is in bad shape, with trash outside. Some of the furniture inside is covered in sheets, and he is said to be renting out rooms to other people through Airbnb-like websites. The Landas have put up 10 security cameras around the house, and they seem to be watching the footage
