Carina Leach: Missing Virginia mom’s family urges her to ‘come home to her son’ after she didn't show up for work

VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES: A 52-year-old woman has been reported missing in Virginia Beach after failing to report to work on Wednesday. 

The missing individual has been identified as Carina Leach, and her family is deeply worried about her safety. 

According to Yahoo News, Leach resides in the Oceanfront area. Despite thorough canvassing of the vicinity and a review of surveillance footage, no leads have been uncovered.

According to 13newsnow, Carina Leach was last seen getting off at WT Cooke Elementary School around 1:30 pm on Tuesday. 

Approximately two hours later, she had a phone conversation with a family member, but no contact has been made with her since. 

Leach's husband expressed his plea on Friday, stating that if there's one message he could convey to his wife, it's "come home to your son."

Following the missing report, Virginia Beach police have initiated a search for the missing mother Leach. Anyone with information regarding Carina Leach's whereabouts is urged to contact VBPD Missing Person detectives at 757-385-4101.



 

What did Carina Leach’s coworker claim?

Carina Leach's coworker and friend, WendySue Clausson, expressed, "Not knowing where she is makes it very difficult for all of us." 

Clausson also shared details about Leach's extensive experience working at the elementary school, estimating that she had been employed there for roughly a decade. 

She described Leach's role as a cafeteria assistant and emphasized that she always wears a smile.

Clausson added, "She's like, you know, the life of the cafeteria. She's like you know the light of the cafeteria. She's always just willing to go the extra mile"

Clausson expressed that she has felt a constant pit in her stomach since learning about her friend's disappearance.

"We need her. She’s just so important to us at school and us personally, the people who really know her. I just want her to be okay. I want her to be safe, and like I said, come back to us," Clausson emphasized.

Both family and friends are appealing to the public to remain vigilant and watch for any signs of Carina Leach. "We’re all just praying for her and hoping for her safe return," Clausson added.
