Carol Burnett's daughter wants to make peace with mother to regain visitation rights to her son
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Carol Burnett’s daughter now wants to mend her relationships with her legendary mother and her teenage son, Dylan.
Erin Hamilton has claimed to be sober and wants to get visitation rights with her 16-year-old child, RadarOnline.com reported.
Currently, Burnett has been Dylan’s temporary guardian since 2020 after her daughter was said to be suffering from “severe substance abuse and addiction issues”.

‘Erin has been in and out of rehabilitation centers’
At the time, court documents stated, “In the past 19 years, Erin has been in and out of rehabilitation centers and has been institutionalized a total of eight times for a minimum of 30 days each time.”
“I would never never do that to my children or the people who love me,” it added.
The court allowed Hamilton to pay visits to her son in the presence of a court-appointed third party named Jodi Pais Montgomery.
The 55-year-old, however, breached the court’s order as she tried to contact the schoolgoer without letting Montgomery know.
As a result, Hamilton’s visitation rights were taken away from her for six months.
‘I miss my son’
But now, Hamilton claims to be sober and wants to re-establish her visitation rights.
She reportedly asserted, “They’re not letting me communicate with him until further notice. They said six months which would end in February.”

“I do hope the judge reinstates our visitation,” she stated, before adding, “I miss my son tremendously. He means more to me than anything.”
‘I just want to say that it’s been a long road to recovery’
Speaking about her famous mother, Hamilton said, “I think that my mom thought she was doing what was right. And I think at the time it was the right thing.
I just think it’s gone on long enough. I appreciate my mom and everything that she has done for me and my children.”
She continued, “I just want to say that it’s been a long road to recovery. There’s been some ups and there’s definitely been some downs and I feel sad that my mom and I are so estranged."
“She’s a wonderful woman who I’ve put through the wringer for sure, but I’m not the person that I used to be. I love her unconditionally and I hope one day she can love me the same,” she added.
Hamilton also reportedly mentioned, “It's not about me and it's not about my mom. It's about what's best for Dylan.”
