CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Chicago residents Cata Truss and Mark Carter slammed the Democratic Party and claimed that the Black voters must move away from the progressive policies of Mayor Brandon Johnson during their appearance on the January 5 episode of 'Fox & Friends First' along with co-host Todd Piro.

Piro introduced the segment by claiming, "Chicago is in crisis. Lifelong residents fed up with the condition of the Windy City, which has seen a 16% jump in crime, over 14,000 migrants living in the city, and a 14% rise in homelessness."

They declared their stance on the show as the city has been struggling with a surge in crimes and an influx of migrants, according to Fox News.

While the crime crisis is not new to the city, the migrant issue has caused a strain on the resources and has made the Black community in Chicago feel "neglected."

According to Fox 32 Chicago, more than 20,000 migrants have arrived in the city since August 2022 and thousands are in shelters. The locals have long insisted that the city cannot provide for any more asylum seekers with strained resources.

Cata Truss claims their voices have not been heard

"The Democratic Party has always neglected to pay attention to the Black community," Truss told Piro. "That is traditional, and because we have been so committed to supporting that party, they feel that they can continue to disrespect us, to marginalize us, to not hear our voices."

She then called for a change, stating, "If the Democratic Party is not going to listen to us, if the Democratic Party is not going to stand up for the people that have supported this party, then it's time for us to make a change."

"Now, let me just say this as well. The Republican Party is not spotless, but we do need to say at this point it's time to do something different," she continued.

Trus concluded, "You can't keep doing the same old thing and expecting a different outcome, and so that is why it is so important for the citizens of Chicago to turn Chicago red."

Chicago residents want to turn to Donald Trump

Speaking of the Black voters, activist Mark Carter stated, "We see that the Democratic Party has decided to do away with us, and so we [are] fine with that. And so we're going to do away with them," as he asserted that over 200 executives have prioritized "immigrants over Americans."

He went on to claim that he had been a long-time supporter of former President and current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

Carter claimed, "It took a while for people to cozy up and warm up to Donald Trump. I heard his message the first time. I understood that the Democratic Party had done just that, done away with our humility. And so I am one of the ones who was already Team Trump a long time ago."

"I knew that he would push that immigration plan to push these people back into the country to close the border, and Joe Biden did the exact opposite as soon as he got in office," Carter added.
