LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christopher Nolan has reiterated his admiration for the 'Fast & Furious' franchise!

The celebrated filmmaker made an appearance on the 'Late Show with Stephen’ and talked about various details about his direction style.

“I have no guilt about being a fan of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise,” Nolan proudly answered Colbert’s question.

“A tremendous action franchise … You’ve never seen any of them? I watch those movies all the time. I love them. I’m amazed you’ve never seen one of them. It’s only the last few where a specific arc and mythology develop. I would start with ‘Tokyo Drift’ and watch it as its own thing.”

He was also asked about his big project ‘Tenet’ which didn’t do too well at the box office, and many claimed they could never understand the plot fully.

“If you are experiencing my film, then you are getting it,” Nolan said.

“I feel very strongly about that. I feel like where people have experienced frustrations with my narratives in the past sometimes I think they are slightly missing the point. It’s not a puzzle to be unpacked but an experience to be had, preferably in a movie theater but also at home.”

“You’re not meant to understand everything in ‘Tenet,'” he added. “It’s not all comprehensible."

Tenet hits theaters on February 23

He recently talked with AP on the ambitious 2020 project too, “The thing with ‘Tenet’ is, I think of all the films I have made, it’s the one that’s very much about the experience of watching films.”

“It’s about watching spy movies in a way. It tries to build on that experience and take it to this very magnified, slightly crazy place. A lot of that is about sound and music and this huge image.”

Nolan further told the outlet, “It’s a film that was designed, almost more than any I’ve made, to be enjoyed in this form,” per Variety.

“When I heard they were going to be making film prints on ‘Dune: Part Two,’ I jumped at that and thought what if we opened up the week before? We can dust off the projectors.”

The director of 'Oppenheimer' remarked, "Living in Los Angeles, I never had the chance to experience 'Tenet' with an audience. It premiered on streaming platforms first here, so I'm thrilled for this opportunity to showcase it in theaters the way it was originally intended."
