WASHINGTON, DC: Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer deleted his Father's Day photo posted on X (formerly Twitter) after many criticized his spatula skills, according to the New York Post.

The top Democrat posted a photo of himself on X standing in front of a grill preparing burger patties and hot dogs, smiling ear to ear at his daughter Alison Schumer's house. "Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we're having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!" Schumer wrote. "Father's Day Heaven!"

Chuck Schumer slammed for his poor cooking skills and not following Kosher guidelines

Many commentators, including some Republicans, took a swipe at Schumer over his premature placement of a cheese on a patty, forcing him to delete the post.

Former President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr, wasted no time criticizing the Democrat.

Trump Jr reposted Schumer's now-deleted Father's Day post on X, writing, "I get that you're playing to the masses but literally no one puts cheese on a raw beef patty. If you need help learning how to do basic grilling stuff, let me know. Nice try relating, though. F*****g communists!!!" as per Daily Mail.

Former National Republican Senatorial Committee member Matt Whitlock also weighed in on Schumer's grill photo on X, mocking him with a GIF of Steve Carroll with the caption, "Seeing that piece of cheese on a raw patty."

The blowback on social media against the US highest-ranked Jewish elected official stemmed from a religious perspective, as the photo indicated he ate meat with cheese, which is prohibited for Jews.

Rabbi Elchanan Poupko wrote on X that cheese on the burger was not necessary, pointing at the Kosher guidelines banning mixing meat and dairy products. Though he deleted the photo later, his initial Father's Day wishes, "Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!" remained.

Internet slams Chuck Schumer for trying to act like normal people

Outraged social media users said that Schumer was attempting fake publicity by posting a photo of him as an informant of a grill.

One user said, "He doesn’t cook, people cook for him… it was a photo op to pander for votes."

"It wasn't the lack of 'spatula skills' that got him roasted. It was the blatant and pathetic attempt at pandering to the 'common man' tropes. Also, he's always quick to bring up being jewish, but apparently doesn't keep kosher, what with that 'cheeseburger' and all, "another remarked.

A third user added, "It’s hilarious that the elites can’t even pretend to be one of us common folk."

A fourth response read, "Nope.... He deleted it because it was a fake and EVERYONE knew it!!!!! I just wish he and all the other democrats would have actually ate those burgers!! We would be in better shape IMMEDIATELY!!"

"Chuck Schumer’s grilling skills are a direct reflection of his #contributions to #America," another person said.

Someone else wrote, "Politicians are as fake as Hollywood, all staged to make people think they are like normal people."

"No, we slam this fake publicity shot. This person has never worked a grill in his life," an individual chimed in.

Another user added, "Chuck just got caught lying for a photo op… Man, you politicians can’t even enjoy Father’s Day without lying!"
