LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: An astrology influencer killed her partner and 8-month-old daughter in a bizarre and tragic sequence of events that ended with her dying in a car crash, an apparent suicide, on April 8.
The Los Angeles Times was told on Wednesday, April 10 by law enforcement sources that Danielle Johnson, a well-known astrology influencer who went by the online name Danielle Ayoka, had warned her 106,000 followers to "wake up" and "pick a side" days before the bizarre murder-suicide that started with her fatally stabbing her 29-year-old boyfriend, Jaelen Allen Chaney, in their opulent Woodland Hills apartment.
She then loaded her two daughters into her Porsche Cayenne and drove out of the scene through a security gate. Authorities said that Johnson threw her 9-year-old daughter out of the car and onto a freeway at around 5 am, while the girl was holding her 8-month-old baby sister. The baby was discovered dead at the scene, but the older child made it out safe after avoiding being hit by cars.
Johnson was reportedly terrified of the "apocalypse" that she believed the recent solar eclipse would bring about.

“WAKE UP WAKE UP THE APOCALYPSE IS HERE. EVERYONE WHO HAS EARS LISTEN. YOUR TIME TO CHOOSE WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS NOW,” Johnson wrote last week in a tweet on X that was viewed 600,000 times.
Tweet further read, “IF YOU BELIEVE A NEW WORLD IS POSSIBLE FOR THE PEOPLE RT NOW. THERE IS POWER IN CHOICE. THERE IS POWER IN CHOICE!!!! REPOST TO MAKE THE CHOICE FOR THE COLLECTIVE”.
Authorities say that three days later, just hours before the predicted eclipse over California, Johnson initiated the chain of events that claimed the three lives.
Investigators believe that Johnson's deranged end-of-the-world paranoia played a role in the massive carnage because neither the self-described “divine healer” nor her boyfriend had any recorded history of domestic abuse or police calls, sources told the LA Times.
Johnson called the eclipse the “epitome of spiritual warfare” and advised her followers to take precautions against it.
Johnson, who charged just $2.99 for online counseling and self-help, also posted antisemitic remarks and wild theories about the natural phenomena on X.
In addition, she claimed that the media and government were attempting to conceal what she believed to be the approaching end of the world and compared the earthquake in New Jersey to white supremacism.
“THESE ARE ALL THE WAYS THEY HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMING US WITH LIES!!! LOOK AT THESE TO UNDERSTAND THE AGENDA THIS IS REAL THIS IS SPIRITUAL WARFARE,” she further wrote in her tweet.
Once a media darling, the healer — who also peddled R&B songs — was featured in profiles by Refinery 29 and The Fader, both of which praised her psychic abilities.
Johnson was described as having "a brilliant gift for calling out the nonsense of any sun sign in need of real truths" by Refinery 29 in 2016.
Johnson was last seen on social media on Sunday, April 7 afternoon, about 12 hours before she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the heart while he was lounging on their opulent Woodland Hills apartment couch, according to the police.
Danielle Johnson's body was found several miles away in a wrecked car
The LA Times was informed by sources that while she attempted to remove the body from the apartment, she eventually gave up and left it in the kitchen. She then left with her two daughters in the car.
Johnson's body was found several miles away at 5:30 in the morning, inside a wrecked car that had been driven into a tree at over 100 mph. The police needed two more hours to get to the apartment where the violence began and piece together the horrifying chain of events.
Sources claim that when investigators opened the apartment door, they found a trail of bloody footprints. There were also black feathers and tarot cards all over the place.
According to the police, when Johnson took up the knife at around 3:40 am, Chaney and Johnson were having a verbal argument. About seven hours later, Californians could see the partial eclipse.
The 9-year-old child, who is the only one who survived the horrific attack, is thought to have seen her mother kill Chaney. Over thirty miles to the south of the location where Chaney was killed, Johnson died by suicide as reported by New York Post.
The question of whether the infant was dead before being thrown from the car is still being investigated by investigators.
