BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: Tragedy struck in Baton Rouge over the weekend as Louisiana resident Devin Michael Repath, 26, fell victim to a fatal bar fight during a friend's bachelor party.
The incident, which occurred at Fred’s Bar near LSU’s campus, unfolded around 1.20 am on Saturday, March 23, leaving Repath, a married father of two, unconscious after sustaining a blow during a fistfight, as confirmed by Baton Rouge police.

Repath was swiftly rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning. The East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office categorized his death as a homicide due to blunt force trauma, according to reports from WAFB.
Details emerging from the investigation reveal that the altercation began inside the bar before escalating into the parking lot. Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse provided insights during a separate press conference, elucidating the sequence of events surrounding the fatal brawl, as per The Advocate.

”There’s a lot of unknowns right now,” East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore stated, according to the department. “We’ll have to wait and see what the facts and evidence show the proper decision should be.”
Repath, described as a devoted family man, leaves behind a wife and two young sons. A GoFundMe page has been launched to support the grieving family.
