LATROBE, PENNSYLVANIA: GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was criticized by golfing legend Arnold Palmer's eldest daughter Peggy Palmer after the former President's "inappropriate" rant about the golfer's private parts during his Pennsylvania rally.

During the Saturday, October 19 rally, Trump dedicated a segment of his 12-minute tribute delivering intimate details about the golfing pro in a bizarre rant, per The Independent.

Peggy Palmer slams Donald Trump for his 'inappropriate' rant about her dad

During a conversation with The Independent, Peggy Palmer said, "I thought it was an unfortunate way to remember my dad. Appropriating my dad in this situation... seems inappropriate."

However, she added that she is not thinking about it or letting it affect her inner peace. She added, "My father was very modest. We’ve lost our sense of outrage in this country over just about everything, and I’m not sure that’s OK… There are other things about my dad that would be better to focus on."

During the Saturday rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where Palmer was born in 1929, Trump said, "This is a guy that was all man. He took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said, 'Oh my God, that’s unbelievable'. I had to say it."

Peggy Palmer told The Sporting News in 2018 that her dad had been "appalled" by Trump’s behavior during his 2016 presidential run. She said, "My dad didn’t like people who act like they’re better than other people. He didn’t like it when people were nasty and rude. He didn’t like it when someone was disrespectful to someone else."

She added, "My dad had no patience for people who demean other people in public. He had no patience for people who are dishonest and cheat. My dad was disciplined. He wanted to be a good role model. He was appalled by Trump’s lack of civility and what he began to see as Trump’s lack of character."

Peggy Palmer calls it 'poor choice of approaches' from Donald Trump

Peggy Palmer added that she wasn’t upset by Donald Trump's remarks, however, called it a 'poor choice of approaches' to honoring his late father's memory, per Washington Times.

She said, "There’s nothing much to say. I’m not really upset. I think it was a poor choice of approaches to remembering my father, but what are you going to do?"

Peg added while remembering her father, "A day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about what my father would say about something or what’s happening. We didn’t always agree on things, but he was a quintessential American who believed fervently in this country, even when he questioned its direction."

He said, "He has fun at the rallies. He says things that are off the cuff. But I’m telling you, I have been in those events. I have been in those arenas and people have a great time at those arenas. So you can cherry-pick a few words or lines out of a two-hour event."
