WASHINGTON, DC: On Wednesday, June 19, former President Donald Trump publicly criticized Fox News and Paul Ryan, a board member of its parent company and former Republican Speaker of the House and Vice-Presidential nominee.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, “Nobody can ever trust Fox News, and I am one of them, with the weak and ineffective RINO, Paul Ryan, on its Board of Directors.”

Donald Trump criticized Paul Ryan

Trump continued his criticism of Ryan, describing him as "a total lightweight, a failed and pathetic Speaker of the House, and a very disloyal person."

"Romney was bad, but Paul Ryan made him look worse. As a team, they never had a chance. Rupert and Lachlan, get that dog off your Board – You don’t need him. ALL YOU NEED IS TRUMP. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" he further added, Media ITE reports. [sic]

Trump's criticism surfaced just over a week after Ryan's interview on the network with Neil Cavuto, where he was asked about his ongoing belief that Trump is an "authoritarian narcissist." Cavuto remarked on the intensity of Ryan's previous criticisms of Trump, noting, "That’s pretty strong."

How did Paul Ryan react to Donald Trump's remarks?

Ryan replied, “That’s the way I feel. I voted for him in 2016, hoping that there was gonna be a different kind of person in office. And I do think character is a really important issue. If you put yourself above the Constitution as he has done that shows you’re unfit for office.”

He continued to criticize Trump for his involvement in the January 6th Capitol incident and his denial of the 2020 election outcome.

"I don't support Biden either," Ryan further stated during the conversation. “I think his policies are terrible.”

Ryan's comments drew attention from various media outlets. However, according to Media Matters, Fox did not cover them, except for Greg Gutfeld, who criticized Ryan.

Internet dubs Donald Trump as 'egomaniac'

After Media ITE published the news on their platform, readers started reacting to it. One wrote, "If Trump wasn't such an egomaniac...Ryan was actually the perfect Speaker to get the MAGA agenda passed. He likely agrees with 99% of it and since the DC politicians consider Ryan 'normal' he'd probably have been able to spin it."

"But Trump simply cannot help himself in attacking people and having to be the sole and only person that gets the attention," the user added.

Another reader added, "Trump really has no interest in policy or governing, just adulation by from the yokels, and grifting."

A commentator wrote talking about Trump, "Speaking of 'making up' stuff ^^^. (You're funny!)" [SIC]

"Another Trump scam no doubt!" A reader remarked.
