Donald Trump sounds 'enthusiastic' as he arrives early to cast ballot during Florida primary
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former president Donald Trump cast his ballot early in the Florida primary on Wednesday, August 14.
The Republican presidential nominee used the early-voting window as many still question the reliability of early voting.
What did Donald Trump say after he cast the ballot in Florida?
Addressing camera personnel after casting his ballot in Palm Beach, Donald Trump said, “We have a level of enthusiasm that nobody’s seen before. They want to make America great again. That’s what’s happening. We’re going to make it great again. Right now we’re in a failing nation.”
According to the schedule for Florida's primary elections, state and federal elections will be held on August 20, The Hill reports.
The early-voting period is active from August 10 to August 17.
The state will have a measure on the ballot in November that is aimed to prohibit laws from restricting or banning abortion until fetal viability. Trump is yet to share how he plans to vote on the measure.
Meanwhile, he continues to question the authenticity of mail-in ballots and early voting.
Republicans push to convince voters to use early-voting process
Donald Trump said at a recent campaign rally in Atlanta, “I will secure our elections. Our goal will be one-day voting with paper ballots, proof of citizenship and voter ID.”
Republicans who traditionally vote on election day have been encouraged by the party to cast their ballots by all the available options, including early-voting.
Trump himself asked his supporters through a video message played during the GOP's convention, “Whether you vote early, absentee, by mail or in person, we’re going to protect the vote. That’s the most important thing we have to do.”

Trump will highlight growing costs and what his team is referring to as a "crime wave" at this weekend's rally in the key state of Pennsylvania.
According to a campaign statement released on Monday, August 12, Trump will discuss how the Biden-Harris administration's “dangerously liberal policies and radical Democrats” have “failed” the Keystone State when he speaks to an audience on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The nation has been plagued by persistent inflation during the majority of Biden's term, and Trump, the Republican nominee for president, has consistently pointed the finger at Biden and Harris for it.
Inflation is currently back on a falling trajectory, which is good news for the president after circling around three percent for more than a year before rising once more in March.
