LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney released a new song called 'Days of Girlhood' along with a music video to celebrate her journey as a transgender person. Unfortunately, the video received negative feedback from trolls on social media, with many calling Mulvaney "creepy."

This backlash comes after Mulvaney and Lady Gaga were slammed as the two posed for a photo shoot to celebrate International Women's Day. Mulvaney shared a behind-the-scenes clip showing Lady Gaga and herself being affectionate. In response to the criticism, Gaga addressed the negative comments three days after the photo shoot, defending herself and Mulvaney against the hurtful remarks.

Dylan Mulvaney releases new music to celebrate 'feminity'

Mulvaney released the pop song titled 'Days of Girlhood' to celebrate her femininity and the second anniversary of her transition, the Daily Mail reports. The music video shows Mulvaney dancing in various outfits, including a mini dress, a hot pink negligee, a crop top with shorts, and a green dot print dress.

Mulvaney teased the song through a video diary she uploaded on Instagram, where she talked about the track, stating, "Last year, extremists turned my series Days of Girlhood into something to be ashamed of. This single came from my desire to reclaim my relationship to femininity and celebrate trans joy."

She added, "I had never written a song before, but I knew I wanted it to feel like the opening of an early 2000s romantic comedy."

The song also touches on the controversy that arose around Mulvaney in April 2023. During that month, she shared a photo on Instagram of a personalized Bud Light can sent to her by the company to mark '365 Days of Girlhood' as she transitioned.

She also shared photos of herself opening a Bud Light can during March Madness, apparently trying to appeal to LGBTQ customers. However, this sparked backlash, with customers boycotting the beer.

The Daily Mail reports that hiring Mulvaney reportedly cost the company more than $1 billion in lost sales and knocked it off the top spot for best-selling beer in the US.
