During Wednesday’s event, the 66-year-old TV host was cheered by her wife as Portia attended the event.

The upcoming tour also marks the comeback of DeGeneres after she faced ‘cancellation’ for her allegedly ‘toxic’ workplace culture, per Daily Mail.

However, it seems the Primetime Emmy winner is looking forward to a fresh comeback with her longtime partner backing her.

As she opted for an all-black casual outfit for her stage performance, Portia looked classy in her cream-colored blouse paired with jeans.

Apart from her spouse whom she married in 2008, DeGeneres also received support from some of her celebrity pals including Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, along with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who were all in the audience.

Ellen DeGeneres spoke about getting ‘canceled’

Previously, during one of her shows in April, DeGeneres opened up about getting “kicked out” of show business

She told her audience, “Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business. There’s no mean people in show business," per Rolling Stone.

“The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind,” she continued before adding, “I became this one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps. Do you know how hard it is to dance up steps? Would a mean person dance up steps? Had I ended my show by saying, ‘Go f**k yourself,’ people would’ve been pleasantly surprised.”

She, however, referred to her eponymous sitcom from the 1990s, and noted, “I didn’t go to business school. I went to Charlie’s Chuckle Hutt,” before revealing, “The show was called Ellen and everybody was wearing T-shirts that said ‘Ellen’ and there were buildings on the Warner Brothers lot that said ‘Ellen', but I don’t know that that meant I should be in charge.”

After she revealed she was homosexual, DeGeneres shared she was fired from the show in the 1990s.

Referring to her previous show again, she added, “For those of you keeping score, this is the second time I’ve been kicked out of show business…Eventually they’re going to kick me out for a third time because I’m mean, old, and gay.”

However, she shared that the cancelation of her talk show in 2022 brought back painful memories from her past as the show was the only way to make her feel embraced.

DeGeneres said, “I’m giving stuff away…and I danced, then I was mean and they didn’t like me again,” before adding, “It’s been such a toll on my ego and my self-esteem. There’s such extremes in this business, people either love you and idolize you or they hate you, and those people somehow are louder.”

Ellen DeGeneres receives online criticism for her comeback

Though DeGeneres is making a comeback with her tour, the audience is not cheerful to say the least.

One of the social media users commented on Facebook, "If she makes a comeback she needs to change herself before hand. Her whole attitude towards people was bad in a big way."

Someone else said, "She short circuited her own career by being two faced and treating people terribly. E.D.G. only has to look in the mirror to see who is to blame."

Another dissenter said, "Can’t stand her wouldn’t go if it was free , she is done ✔️ to toxic !!!! 🤮."

"How do these people ever get their own television show is the talent in America this scarce what happened when we had decent respectable talk shows," criticized someone else.

Another netizen remarked, "She scared and humiliated her guests constantly. On her game show she literally had trap doors."

""Cancelled"🤣🤣🤣. Growup actions have consequences!," said someone else.

Another user noted, "I wish she would stay cancelled."

Some of the fans even noted Portia is looking like the comedian's ex, Anne Heche.

One of the readers coimmented, "What happened? When did Portia started to look like Anne Heche?"

"Portia looking very much like Ellens tragic ex, the late Anne Heche," said someone else.

"Portia looks like Anne Heche. Not creepy at all," commented another.
