LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ellen DeGeneres paid tribute to her late friend and colleague Stephen 'tWitch' Boss who died by suicide a year ago.

She shared some of her favorite moments with him on 'The Ellen DeGeneres' Show and Instagram.

Ellen DeGeneres recalled Vegas trip and Miraval Resort adventure with Stephen tWitch Boss

The talk show host recalled how they went to Las Vegas to see 'Silk Sonic', one of their favorite bands and had a blast singing and dancing together.

She also remembered another trip they took with Andy Lassner, the executive producer of the show to Miraval Resort where they had a hilarious experience with a horse.

Ellen said in a video posted on Instagram, “We went to Vegas, one of the last trips we did. And we saw Silk Sonic, and we both were huge fans. That was really fun, singing to each other, and just being in Vegas together was really fun.”

She continued, “And then we went to Miraval, which is a place where you do all kinds of things. And we did this thing with a horse, where you have to get the horse to do something."

"And it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, because tWitch was so scared of the horse. And the horse was not listening to him at all. And Andy was there, and it was just hilarious," she added.

Ellen also revealed how she and tWitch, who was the DJ and co-executive producer of the show, had a special ritual after every episode. They would sing and dance to a song, make each other laugh, and walk off arm in arm to their dressing rooms.

She said, “I loved that every single day after the show, we would sing and dance to some song and then we would make each other laugh somehow."

"And then we would walk off arm in arm and walk to my dressing room, which was the first one we got to. And I would say, ‘I love you,’ and he would say, ‘Love you much.’ And then he would walk off to his. I miss that," she added.

Ellen Degeneres thought Stephen 'tWitch' Boss was a happy guy but he never shared he was struggling 

Ellen also spoke about the tragic nature of tWitch’s death by suicide and how it reminded her to check in on her loved ones. She said that she thought he was a happy guy, and that she was close to him, but he never shared his struggles with her.

She said that she wished he had found a way out and that she and others would have done anything to help him. She said, “His memory lives on, I love him so much. I miss him so much. And it’s a reminder every single day that you just don’t know what people are going through."

"Because he was a happy guy, I thought, and I was really close to him. And he never shared that with me. So that is sad, that he didn’t feel like he could find a way out and share that he was struggling," she added.

"Because we all would have done anything we could to help him. I miss him every single day, but I have amazing memories of him," she continued.
