WASHINGTON, DC: Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House communications director, shared her perspective on what a second term under former President Donald Trump might look like.

Griffin highlighted her concerns about Trump's potential return to power, predicting a likely focus on "rage and retribution" as guiding principles.

Griffin, who is now a co-host of 'The View', discussed her tenure in the Trump administration, her resignation, and the evolving dynamics within the Republican Party with Mediaite.

During the interview, Griffin stressed the importance of taking Trump literally while also considering his priorities.

"Rage and retribution are going to be the governing principle," Griffin stated. She predicted that a second Trump term would likely commence with "the biggest deportation program we’ve ever seen," The Hill reported.

Alyssa Farah Griffin warns of real 'chilling effect' on media if Donald Trump is reelected

In recent weeks, following Trump's guilty verdict in his hush money trial, both he and his allies have hinted at forthcoming revenge.

Griffin argued that DACA recipients would be targeted for deportation, and warned of a "real chilling effect" on the media and journalists who would "say anything critical of him.”

Griffin predicts Trump would embroil critics in lawsuits and use regulatory bodies like the FCC to stifle dissent, making it difficult for journalists to operate freely.

Despite her strong warnings, Farah Griffin said she wants to caution herself from falling into the “Trump derangement syndrome camp” but she also doesn’t want to rule anything out.

Nonetheless, she maintained that the potential impact of a second Trump term on the country would be profound. "It will at minimum look fundamentally different in this country," she concluded.

Internet reacts to Alyssa Farah Griffin's comments against Donald Trump

Farah Griffin's comments sparked a wide range of reactions on X (formerly Twitter). Some critics accused her of hypocrisy and opportunism, pointing out her previous support for Trump.

"Rage & retribution defined his first term, & YOU chose to stay," one person mocked.

"You were on Fox News before J6 saying there was fraud in Georgia. You bear a lot of responsibility. You think you have credibility now that you're on @TheView and @CNN playing hero? You're part of what's wrong with this country," wrote another commenter.

However, not all feedback was negative. Some expressed gratitude for her insights. "Thanks for your voice and perspective in these batshit crazy times," one supporter wrote.

"Not retribution….balancing the scales instead. Those who have done nothing wrong, have nothing to fear!" remarked one.

"I truly hope so but it sounds too good to be true," wrote another.

"Trust and Believe Mass Deportation will take place but don't get it twisted, it's not a move of a Dictator but the move of a Real President! Trump 2024," penned one supporter.
