"Can't sleep. Hard when you realize your friends aren't really your friends,” wrote the ‘Agent Cody Banks’ actor.

While he has not yet elaborated what was the reason behind his fallout with his friends, Muniz received soothing words from his fans who told him that the challenging time will pass.

Muniz’s admission about his friendship woes came less than a month after he praised his onscreen dad Bryan Cranston, who still 'checks in on him'.

Appearing on the ‘Inside of You’ podcast in November, Muniz gushed about his ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ co-actor who essayed the role of his father in the show, saying, "I started working with him when I was 11, 12 years old," per Entertainment Weekly.

He continued, "He really became like a father figure to me,” and added, “And then even still to this day, you know, he's essentially like a Hollywood god at this point.”

“You know what I mean?” Muniz continued before noting, “Like he's done incredible films, incredible shows, won tons of awards. Like he's literally It."

However, he shred that Cranston, who went on to become a ‘Hollywood god’ continued to check on him even though their show went off air almost two decades ago.

He shared, "He still reaches out to me every couple of weeks, check in on me.”

"He really cares about what I'm doing, comes to the races, if my band was playing, came to shows. I mean, he's such an inspiration, and like I said, that's what I strive to be that for someone else in the future,” concluded the star.

Frankie Muniz's post sparks concerns among fans

Frankie Muniz's post elicited a plethora of responses from his fans who showed solidarity with the young star. Many of his fans offered him support and shared that this phase would pass and he would be left with a handful but true friends.

One of the social media users shared, "The friend group will shrink, and you'll be left with the real ones. Shit sucks going through, but you'll be better off without them in the long run. Sorry man."

"Frankie, I'm sorry. The older I get the smaller my circle of friends gets. I don't think that's a bad thing, I think as you grow you simply see the true colors of your so-called friends," shared someone else.

Another fan added, "The silver lining is that now you’re free from all the play pretends x."

"Been there. Upside you now realise. Next time pick better friends. That's what I do now," shared another user.

Someone else added, "I really hate that feeling dude. it hurts. I understand. Hang in there, bro. @frankiemuniz."

"The more you awaken to who you really are, the less "friends" you will have. But you discover something deeper and more vital," suggested another fan.

Another user noted, "The worst. Losing a friend is worse than losing a lover, in my opinion. I'm so sorry."

"So sorry Frankie. It's a hard pill to swallow," advised another fan of Muniz.
