‘GMA’ correspondent Deborah Roberts talks about her 'complicated' day before flying for work assignment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ correspondent Deborah Roberts seems to have endured a chaotic day on her way to the airport recently.
The 63-year-old took to her Instagram stories to document a “panicked” drive home after an upsetting realization caused her to abruptly turn around from her intended destination.
Roberts was on her way to the airport to catch a flight for a work assignment when she realized that she had forgotten her ID. This led to a hectic and tense few hours for the ‘GMA’ star who had to race against time to catch her flight. She ultimately had to catch a different flight from another airport.
However, she did document all of this on her Instagram, giving her fans a glimpse into all the anxious moments.

Roberts started by sharing a smiling selfie from her car to her Instagram story. She revealed that she was “on the road again” for her next work adventure.
A few moments later, the ‘GMA’ star posted another snap explaining that she was in big trouble, as she facepalmed for the camera. She captioned the snap, “Ok… this day just got complicated....”
Soon after, the ABC host decided to “dispel that idea that everyone is happy and everything’s great on social media” with a video explaining her upsetting day as she walked outside.
She said, “I forgot my ID…so I had to come racing home to find it, which I did. Now I’ve gotta catch a later flight at another airport and hope that I can get everything done.”
“Happy hump day,” she concluded.

Later, Roberts took to Instagram once again to share a third photo from the car as she made her way to a different airport this time, for another flight.
In the caption, Deborah detailed her difficulties a bit more and shared just how much it all was affecting her emotionally.
She wrote, “Wednesday whoops. You’re looking at the face of a woman who’s trying to breathe while making a second trip to the airport in less than 3 hours.”
She explained, “I somehow forgot my license. (don’t ask). Made that discovery when walking into LaGuardia for an early morning flight. After a panicked ride back home, I’m trying it again. This time at JFK.”
She added, “My @abc2020 producers are pivoting with me (while no doubt, silently cursing me) as we make a new plan for the day. Anybody else having one of those days?”
However, later Roberts disclosed on her Instagram story that she finally made it to the second airport on time. In a video near the security area, she explained how she went through the pre-approved Clear line, which didn’t even require her ID.
She posted a final selfie from the comfort of her plane seat, with the caption, “Made it. And, amazingly, calm!”
