LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cori Broadus has shared a health update with her fans after suffering from a severe stroke last week.

The daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg posted a mirror selfie on Sunday, January 21, and wrote, “God is working overtime you hear me! My kidneys were doing terrible…doctors came in this AM and said they are improving so much.”

When did Cori Broadus suffer from a stroke?

The 24-year-old also thanked her well-wishers in a separate post, "Again I'm human and I go through s— like everybody else which is why I'm so open about my life because I know I feel alone."

"But we are never alone, someone is always going through damn near the same. Still here hoping to be home soon."

It was on Thursday, January 18, when Cori shared with the world about her condition on Instagram.

“I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me. Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this," she said.

Cori had a medical history and was diagnosed with Lupus at six. As per People, “Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakes healthy tissues as foreign invaders and attacks them rather than targeting the bad bacteria and viruses.”

“It causes inflammation that can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. There is currently no cure for the disease.” The disease also enhances the risk of a stroke, as per medical experts.

Cori Broadway's reveals her health struggles

Cori told the outlet about her health struggles in September, I've been good, better than I've ever been.”

“I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I'm just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body's like, OK, this is the new program and she's getting used to it,” the singer opened up.

Broadus further reflected on her health, “It's continuously a learning process because there's so much more I could be doing.

“If I can do a whole 360 change and just get healthy all around, I think I would be so good,” she said then.

“But I tell people all the time, it’s a day-by-day process. Things are going to take time. Nothing is going to happen overnight," she continued.
