Harper Cadman: Family scared as California teen with mental health issues vanishes during flight transfer
DENVER, COLORADO: A 15-year-old girl from California, who suffers from mental health issues, disappeared during a flight transfer in Colorado.
Her family is pleading for any information that could help find her.
Harper Cadman was on her way back to California after receiving treatment in Montana
Harper Cadman was last seen at Denver International Airport on the morning of January 30, according to her mother, Ari Petronelli, who posted on Facebook.
She was supposed to board a United Airlines flight to Los Angeles, but never did. Her checked in luggage arrived in LA, but she did not.
Cadman was returning from a treatment facility in Montana, where she had been receiving care for her mental health struggles. Her mother did not explain why she was traveling alone.
Authorities suspect Harper Cadman may be in Denver or Boulder areas
The Denver Police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and RONI have been notified of Cadman’s disappearance.
New York Post reported that authorities believe she may be in the Denver or Boulder areas, where she has no known contacts or familiarity.
Her mother wrote on Facebook that she and her sister spent a week searching for Cadman in those cities, talking to detectives, advocates, homeless people, and “street kids.”
She said they witnessed “a very cold, scary, and dangerous situation” for anyone, especially for “an at-risk 15-year-old girl who was last seen wearing just a sweater with leggings and no belongings.”
Harper Cadman’s mother appeals for help to find her daughter
Ari Petronelli said she had to return to Los Angeles for “boys and work”, but she felt like she was “abandoning” her daughter.
She said she was “desperate, scared, and I just want my girl safe.” She added, “I am okay taking all of the bad if just one person can give us any helpful information on Harper’s whereabouts.”
She also said that the last year had “financially devastated” their family and she could not afford to take more time off work. She vowed to return to Colorado as soon as possible to look for her daughter.
Harper Cadman is described as five feet, seven inches tall, and 115 pounds, with blue eyes and dyed black hair.
She said, "Harper does not know anyone in Colorado and has only been there when she was eight years old for a vacation so she is not familiar with the area."
Harper Cadman has blue eyes, facial piercings, tattoos on her waist and middle finger of her left hand, and wears braces.
