LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jada Pinkett Smith is mourning the death of her 'furry son' Fang. The 52-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 24, to say goodbye to her 15-year-old pooch, Fang. She announced his death alongside a carousal of sweet photos and a video of the black-and-white husky.

“Last night we lost one of our furry sons Fang,” she wrote according to People, adding “He brought so much love into our family, our animal pack and community. Thank you Fang for 15 years of pure joy. We are going to miss you soooooo much😘.”

In two of the images, Pinkett Smith is hiking with the pup and the video shows him walking around in the snow alongside one of the family’s other dogs. The comments flooded with words of support with Pinkett Smith’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, writing: “We will miss our furry, gentle giant❣️✨🙏🏾🕊️”

DJ Jazzy Jeff wrote, “😢😢😢😢 Rest well my friend,” while producer Charlie Mack simply put: “😢 In my prayers!” Pinkett Smith, who married Will Smith in 1997, continued to share memories on her Instagram stories later in the day.

The 'Red Table Talk' host recently opened up about her family life, saying she doesn’t think her marriage will ever end after husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Jada Pinkett Smith thought her husband slapping Rock was a skit

Smith went after Rock after the comedian poked fun at Pinkett Smith’s appearance while hosting the award show. The Hollywood actor, 55, walked on the stage and slapped Rock, while Pinkett Smith said that she initially thought was a skit, before returning to his seat.

"That moment of the s--- hitting the fan is when you see where you really are," said Jada, who previously revealed that she and Will had been separated for seven years. "After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him," she said.
