WASHINGTON, DC: Barack Obama is worried that Democrats may lose the upcoming election, given his concerns about Joe Biden's chances.

Obama is reportedly worried about the 2024 elections, according to a source who spoke to The Wall Street Journal, given that Donald Trump was beginning to gain ground in polls and worries about the president's age, immigration status, Israel policy, and economic strategy were undermining his confidence.

Barack Obama calls it a close race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump

RealClearPolitics polling average noted that Trump is up by 2 points, per Daily Mail. According to the source close to Obama, the former president "feels that Democrats very well could lose" the 2024 election and "knows this is going to be a close race."

Obama is worried that "the alternative is quite perilous for democracy," according to the source. Like many previous polls conducted over the last month, last week's Reuters/Ipsos survey put Donald Trump ahead of the field.

Democrats should be even more concerned since the survey indicates that independent Robert F Kennedy Jr detracts from Joe Biden's vote total and that 60% of respondents would like to have another choice in the 2024 presidential contest.

However, Biden and Trump's impending rematch in the election next year would be a fierce contest since both have serious weaknesses that might cost them the presidency.

Biden, 81, is still beset by voters' misgivings about the health of the economy, their worry about crime, and their concerns over border security.

In addition to his handling of confidential materials and attempts to rig the 2020 presidential election, Trump, 77, is facing four criminal trials on a variety of allegations.

According to the Reuters/Ipsos survey, he may lose a lot of support if he is found guilty before the November 5, 2024, election.

Internet agrees Biden will lose after Barack Obama expresses concern

Many people on the internet were confident that Joe Biden would lose after news of Barack Obama's thought that Democrats could lose the White House next year made its way to X.

A user commented, "Why do these people waste their time? Trump will win in 2024. Mark this," and another also expressed a similar opinion, writing, "Biden is an awful president who is largely unpopular. I don't see Biden winning in 2024. Follow if you agree."

A user also commented, "Because Biden has done an awful job and everyone is starting to realize it. Even Obama of all people is chummy with Biden. They are all scrambling because they’re scared. Follow if you agree."

Another person added, "It remains to be seen how Biden's administration addresses challenges and communicates its agenda in the lead-up to the 2024 election."

"Biden doesn’t stand a chance against Trump next year," another person wrote and another added, "He absolutely will [lose]." A sarcastic comment also said, "Gee - wonder what gave it away?"
