Internet divided as drunk Nick Swardson booed and escorted from stand-up show after failing to perform
BEAVER, COLORADO: Comedian Nick Swardson, who made appearances in 'Reno 911!' and several Adam Sandler movies, faced a hostile crowd at his stand-up show in Beaver Creek, Colorado, on Sunday, March 3.
He was unable to perform any impressions and was booed, and escorted off the stage which he stated was due to being drunk.

The next day, Swardson posted a message on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Just casually woke up on TMZ. Travel tip: don’t drink and take edibles in high altitude. F******g brain diarrhea.”
He also said he was sorry to the fans and vowed to make it up to them. He wrote, “I’ll make it up to you Beaver Creek!”

There were mixed reactions to Nick's apology saying drinks at high altitudes hit like anything. One reacted to his post on X saying, "Happens to the best of us."
Another user wrote, "Don’t do it again or you will be working for “Who let the Clogs out”!."

Audience's reaction to Nick Swardson’s failed attempt at impressions
Videos of Swardson’s show circulated on social media, showing him trying to make an impression of Jason Statham in the 2024 film 'Beekeeper.'
He kept saying “here we go, here we go, alright, here we go” for more than a minute, without performing anything.
The audience grew impatient and started to boo, whistle, and shout. Swardson asked them, “Do you want me to finish this or no?” They responded with a loud “No!”

Nick Swardson was escorted off the stage and refunds given
Another video showed the lights in the theater turning on and the spotlight on Swardson turning off.
His mic was also turned off. A man who said he was the director of operations came on stage and talked to Swardson as he waved and left the stage.

The director apologized to the audience and said, “We decided to conclude the show early in the best interests of those who bought tickets," NBC News reported.
He added, "We apologize for what you’ve seen tonight. Please email the box office. They’ll be responding to inquiries and processing credits and refunds. We apologize.”

With videos from Nick Swardson's standup circulating on social media wherein he failed to draw impressions, fans sought an apology. However, not everyone thought the same.
