LOS ANGELES. CALIFORNIA: The 67-year-old comedian Sinbad, known for his work in the 90s, posted on social media for the first time since 2022. In the post, he expressed gratitude to his fans for their love and support during his battle with medical issues following his stroke.

As per the New York Post, the cast of 'A Different World,' including the 'Sinbad Show' performer who suffered a stroke in 2020, gathered on Zoom for a tour of historically Black colleges and universities starting on February 29. The tour kicked off at the Atlanta University Center.

What did Sinbad say?

In an Instagram reel, which was captioned, “Thank you for your prayers, support, and positive thoughts. They’ve carried me this far and will see me through to the finish line. It really is a different world out here!”

Sinbad watched a clip from the event on camera, and upon realizing the number of college students watching him on their screens in an auditorium, he became emotional and shed a few tears.

"Man, that was so cool,” he effused. “That’s beautiful.” He added that he was shocked that students knew who he was despite the NBC sitcom airing decades ago.

'A Different World' was a spinoff of 'The Cosby Show' and was broadcast from 1987 until 1993, with Sinbad playing Coach Walter Oakes.

In the video, the comedian remarked, "Expect to see more of me soon and don’t be surprised if you turn around and I’m standing right behind you. 'Sinbad, I can’t believe you're here!' 'You can't believe it?' You better believe it. Miracles happen."

A blood clot that traveled from Sinbad's heart to his brain led to his stroke, resulting in a nine-month hospitalization following his initial admission in October 2020.
