WASHINGTON, DC: Federal prosecutors used Hunter Biden's infamous 'laptop from hell', whose scandalous contents were first made public by the New York Post nearly four years ago, as a major element of their case against the president's son, claiming he was addicted to drugs and illegally owned a gun. The evidence was presented to the jury of his peers for the first time on Tuesday, June 4, as per the New York Post.

Notably, prosecutor Derek Hines's introduction of a laptop, wrapped in plastic, to FBI Special Agent Erika Jensen, his first witness, was a turning point in the case.

Jensen grabbed the MacBook Pro 13 and confirmed that it had, in fact, belonged to President Biden's son by checking the serial number on the back.

When Hunter bought a Colt Cobra revolver on October 12, 2018, he was allegedly amid a serious crack addiction, according to the prosecution. The prosecution from the office of special counsel David Weiss must demonstrate to the jury that Hunter purposefully lied on a gun application form.

The federal authorities expeditiously employed data acquired from the laptop to delineate a chronology of Hunter's alleged before to and after the acquisition of the handgun, which he possessed for only 11 days.

Before the trial, Federal Judge Maryellen Noreika decided that the prosecution need only demonstrate that the Biden son was regularly using at the time he purchased the pistol, rather than proving he was high at the time.

According to Jensen, data from the computer was compared with data from the Biden son's iCloud account, which investigators had gotten through a subpoena sent to Apple.

Moreover, agents from the FBI were able to retrieve reams of information from the MacBook, including WhatsApp and text conversations that described Hunter's drug use.

Furthermore, Two video clips from the laptop that showed a shirtless Hunter were also presented to them. In one video, the first son was shown relaxing on a bed and holding a crack pipe; in the second, the younger Biden was seen with a pipe behind him.

In addition, the panelists saw the outraged texts that Hunter sent to Hallie Biden, his ex-sister-in-law who is now his lover, on October 23, 2018, the day she discovered the .38 in his car and tossed it away.

The text messages read, "Did you take that from me…are you insane? This is no game. And you’re being totally irresponsible and unhinged. Tell me now” he said. “Call me!!!!"
