WASHINGTON, DC: In the last week of November, Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “everyone knows the truth about Jan 6th,” when referencing the Capitol riots that took place in 2021.

Greene was also recently mocked by popular TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who commented on the Congresswoman’s call for a new January 6 Select Committee.

This time around, not only has Greene called for a new Select Committee, but has also claimed that “compulsory subpoenas should reach every member of the sham J6 Committee,” including Rep. Nancy Pelosi, former Rep. Liz Cheney, the FBI, and the DOJ.

As Greene puts forth her thoughts on the social media platform on what she believes the next steps should be, the internet did not appear to be on the same page as the Congresswoman.

Marjorie Taylor Greene talks about the ‘real events’ of January 6

On Tuesday, December 5, Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X and wrote, “I’m calling for the Republican-controlled House to immediately form a new select committee, dedicated to ensuring accountability and uncovering the truth behind a day where the American people insist on transparency.”

She continued, “Compulsory subpoenas should reach every member of the SHAM J6 Committee, along with Nancy Pelosi, Liz Cheney, Adam Schiff, FBI, DOJ, DC Police, Capitol Police, and J6 witnesses.”

Greene also mentioned a “future Trump administration” as she wrote, “However, it’s crucial to recognize that subpoenas and investigations alone fall short. The American people demand true accountability, which is why we must be intent on issuing criminal referrals that lead to potential prosecutions in a future Trump administration.”

“Democrats, the DOJ, and FBI are covering up the real events of January 6. Those responsible must be fully investigated and face punishments equal to those imposed on J6 defendants,” concluded Greene.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s claims on ‘compulsory subpoenas’

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a detailed plan for a new select committee to “uncover the truth” behind January 6, 2021, the internet’s response was prompt.

One user wrote, “No one is buying your propaganda and even your own party realizes you are useless. You are a traitor to the United States of America,” and another wrote, “You are SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY #TRASH.”

“You can call for it but it won't happen,” wrote one user, and another mocked, “You need to be held accountable for trying to sell us your book when you knew it was a drink coaster.”

Greene continued to face ridicule on the social media platform as one user wrote, “MTG is a fraud who does nothing but talk. Ask yourself: what has she actually accomplished?” and another wrote, “In a nutshell, no one is more ignorant, crazy & immoral than you are.”
