BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Ashley McGuire, whose reality TV chef husband Charles Withers allegedly abandoned her and their two children a year ago, reportedly managed to track down her husband in a day with the help of Facebook.

However, now that the Massachusetts woman has found her husband who 'ghosted' her, she's ending their marriage, TMZ reported.

Withers worked as a celebrity chef for 'Yellowstone' creator Taylor Sheridan. After abandoning his family in Massachusetts, he moved to Texas.

Social media post helps Ashley McGuire find estranged husband

In a conversation with TMZ, McGuire said that she received a text from her estranged husband Charles after her Facebook plea blew up online.

She says Charles, who now goes by Charlie, said he is willing to sit down and talk, after allegedly walking out on her and their children last year.

She told to the media outlet, "I’m not the only person in this situation. There are many women that are trying to hold it down and find their missing spouse."

In the post that went viral, she sought Facebook's help to find her husband who ghosted her. "This is my husband, Charles Withers,” McGuire wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post over the weekend.

She added, "He loves to be the center of attention, but I’m not sure how much he’s going to like this.”

McGuire, who is an aesthetician and makeup artist, went on to claim that Withers disappeared “without a trace” sometime last year and had never met their youngest child. In a radio interview on Monday, April 7, McGuire said she drove herself to the hospital where she delivered their baby alone.

She said, “He’s moved somewhere out of state and changed his phone number,” adding “Divorcing someone who’s completely unreachable is really tough and drawn out, so I’m trying to track him down to get his signature on a few papers so I can finally close this chapter and move on with my life.”

The post, which circulated through the popular 'Are We Dating the Same Guy?' Facebook group and beyond, was seen millions of times, sparking additional conversation on other social media platforms like X, Instagram, and Reddit.

A user wrote on Reddit, "Yeah well he closed up his restaurant without notice and skipped town. Workers were showing up and people with reservations and gift cards. He's a loser."

Within 24 hours, a number of women said they had matched with Withers on the dating app, Bumble. They said he had moved from Massachusetts to Texas and was now going by the name Charlie instead of Charles.

Now that McGuire has her husband's new address in Texas, she can serve him the divorce papers.

In an update post on Facebook, she added, "I truly do not wish him any type of ill will. I sincerely appreciate all of your support, but please do not make threats, spread hate, or try to go out and locate him."

"Truly I only want to see this situation resolved so me and my children can restart our lives and fix the damage done. At the end of the day I get to come home to my babies and be their mom, so I think I win regardless."
