Hulk Hogan opens up on politics, common sense, and flat tax policies

Hogan, while sharing the likelihood of joining politics, also revealed the agendas he will put forth in the public or implement when he is elected to the offices of either president or the vice president.

“I’ll volunteer and take this country over, and I’ll rule with an iron fist,” Hogan stated on Fox News.

He expressed his commitment to common sense and floated the idea of a flat tax as part of his policy platform. In the interview, Hogan explained his motivation too.

“We need somebody in there that’s got some common sense, you know what I’m saying? So if you need a president or a vice president, I’ll volunteer," He said, adding, “I know right from wrong, brother!”

Hulk Hogan shares 'crazy idea' about getting into the beer industry

Hogan's political remarks came after his Fox News appearances earlier in the week where he promoted his new initiative, Real American Beer.

Reflecting on the competitive beer market and referencing the backlash faced by Bud Light after a marketing partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Hogan said he saw “a crazy open lane.”

“I had this crazy idea because I saw how competitive the beer industry was, and I saw what happened with Bud Light and their whole promotion that crashed and burned,” Hogan explained.

His Real American Beer cans feature his image waving an American flag with the goal to “bring America back together, one beer at a time.”

Internet reacts to Hulk Hogans's possible political entry

The internet had a lot to say about Hogan’s potential political ambitions.

One user wrote, "He's got my vote already. Can he really be worse than the 2 choices we have now?"

Another commented, "Nah, I think we’re good on celebrities running. Trump was luckily business sound enough to have some qualification. I don’t need 'The Hulkster' runnin wild on our country’s standing in the world."

Some responses were more humorous, with one person imagining Hogan’s exaggerated storytelling.

"Can you imagine the stories he would tell!! Like when he was the one who developed the nuclear bomb alongside Oppenheimer, how he worked 400 days in a year, when he saved the Golden Gate Bridge from collapsing etc."

"Doesn't work for me brother," one user wrote. Predictions about his potential success varied, "He'll get elected. Watch," wrote one.

Another mockingly wrote a twisted headline as a comment, "Hulk Hogan threatens to run for president."

"Well the guy currently in the White House practically doesn’t know where he is half the time," one joked referring to President Joe Biden.

"Funniest part is he’d probably be better than the two we have to choose from," wrote one.

"I would have said this would be hilarious before Trump did it," wrote one.  "No thanks, brother!" one user wrote reflecting the general sentiment on the internet.
