The Republican frontrunner for next year’s presidential election, warned his supporters in New Hampshire on Saturday, December 16, that undocumented immigrants were “poisoning the blood of our country”, repeating language that has previously been criticized as xenophobic and reminiscent of Nazi rhetoric.

Following the backlash he’d received from last week’s campaign speech, Trump doubled down on the dangerous terminology referring to illegal migrants on his Truth Social posts that read, "Illegal immigration is poisoning America."

What did Trump say in his Truth Social posts?

In a series of videos posted on Truth Social, Trump, who is fully aware that his rhetoric parallels that of Hitler and that this outlook can be found in the dictator’s manifesto ‘Mein Kampf’, continued making such remarks.

Trump said in the video, "Illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. They're coming from prisons, from mental institutions, from all over the world. Without borders and fair elections you don't have a country. Make America great again. We must win in 2024 or we will not have a nation."

In this instance, Trump's use of 'Hitler's rhetoric' was accompanied by a denial of the previous US general election results, and he has even incorporated his campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again," into his address to his supporters.

This has led to concerns among Republicans, who have been forced to defend Trump's atrocious actions.
