Internet weighs in as Tucker Carlson calls himself a 'd**k' while clarifying why he was mean to Chris Cuomo
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently sat down with NewsNation's Chris Cuomo on Monday, March 11, and addressed why he attacked the ex-CNN host in the past.
Carlson admitted, "Because I’m a d**k, probably. Because it was easy. Because I don’t like CNN and I really mean that," to Cuomo, who was fired from CNN in December 2021 amid an investigation into his involvement in advising his brother, then-New York Governor Andrew, on handling allegations of sexual harassment.
On the other hand, Carlson was ousted from Fox News in April 2023 and now heads Tucker Carlson Network on X (formerly Twitter).

Tucker Carlson's reflects on attacking Chris Cuomo in the past
Carlson once branded Cuomo as "the single dumbest person ever to perform on cable news" in 2021, among a slew of other derogatory remarks.
During their recent exchange, the ex-Fox News host professed ignorance regarding his incessant targeting of Cuomo.
"How can you not know? It was so intentional. It was so frequent," remarked Cuomo, questioning Carlson's lack of awareness.

"I was pissed about the COVID thing, that is totally true. I didn’t buy any of this from day one, that was totally real," acknowledged Carlson, adding, "But that’s not … what I did was not really a pure refutation of your positions on COVID. It was me taking the cheap shots, which I’m not always above, and, but you should be. You should be above that."
Subsequently, the ex-CNN host asked, "Did it feel good when you would come after me like that?" to which Carlson conceded, "Felt a little dirty."
Cuomo further inquired, "Did it feel satisfying, in a twisted way?" and Carlson noted, "I don’t want to use any kind of sexual metaphor, but there is one for this. It’s like something you shouldn’t be doing, but there’s kind of the animal thrill of doing something wrong."
"You loved it. You loved it," stressed the former CNN presenter Cuomo, adding, "My in-laws watch you. Do you know how hard it is to deal with having your in-laws enjoy a joke that makes you wanna do, you know, bad things that are gonna cost you civil litigation money?"
To this, Carlson admitted, "I have my weaknesses. I don’t have a weakness for women, I gave up drinking many years ago, but I’m still beset by weaknesses of the flesh and one of them is mockery. I just can’t help it."
Carlson then reflected on his wife's perspective, acknowledging her as an "unusually good person" who often reminded him that his mean-spiritedness didn't align with his true character, saying, "It’s kind of who I am, that’s the problem."
Internet reacts to Tucker Carlson's candid admission garners social media attention
One noted, "Probably the only truthful thing he’s said this year," and another said, "What else is new?"
A person remarked, "Sounds like self-awareness is the first step to recovery, wonder if there's a 12-step program for punditry," while someone else declared, "He’s an honest man."
An individual quipped, "Tucker's silly, mechanical laugh makes Katie Britt look like an extremely polished actor," hinting at Senator Katie Britt's State of the Union response.
