LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lamar Odom recently shared insights about the benefits of ketamine therapy in managing addiction problems, emphasizing the need for proper medical supervision following revelations of Matthew Perry's use before his passing.

Speaking outside Oxy Dental, a facility he owns in Lomita, CA, Lamar addressed concerns regarding ketamine treatment following the coroner's report on Perry's death.

Acknowledging the controversy surrounding ketamine therapy, Lamar highlighted its similarity to his own treatment approach and its efficacy.

"In that business right now...there's a big question right now after Matthew Perry's death about ketamine,' said the interviewer.

Lamar Odom addressed the current discussions surrounding ketamine therapy, emphasizing its prescription-only nature. "It got to be prescribed by a doctor...damn sure definitely can't do it and even drive a car," he explained, highlighting the caution necessary during and after treatment.

However, he stressed the crucial caveat: patients shouldn't drive vehicles while undergoing treatment due to its effects.

Ketamine, primarily an anesthetic, has found useful in treating depression and anxiety.

Lamar underscored its therapeutic potential but cautioned against unsupervised usage. The recent coroner's findings linked high ketamine levels in Perry's system to his unconscious state in October.

Lamar emphasized the importance of medical guidance, emphasizing that ketamine has aided in his recovery and helped others combat PTSD and addiction, common challenges exacerbated during the pandemic.

Regarding safety precautions, Lamar admitted to avoiding driving post-treatment due to potential drowsiness. Encouraging individuals to consult doctors for tailored advice, he urged reconsideration of ketamine's benefits despite apprehensions fueled by high-profile incidents.

In the light of Perry's case, Lamar advocated for understanding the treatment's potential instead of fearing it, emphasizing its beneficial applications in therapy for various conditions.

Acknowledging the skepticism and concerns, Lamar encouraged consulting with medical professionals for personalized guidance. "Ask your doctor and ask your doctor how can it help you...it will help," he stated confidently, reinforcing the therapy's effectiveness.

Addressing apprehensions amplified by high-profile incidents, Lamar emphasized that any prescribed drug could present risks under certain circumstances.

"A lot of it had to do with the fact that he was in a jacuzzi," he mentioned, discussing the misunderstanding surrounding Perry's passing and the influence of prescribed drugs.

Sharing his personal experience, Lamar detailed post-treatment effects, acknowledging the drowsiness but affirming the positive impact of ketamine therapy. "It's helped me and it's helped many other people...it could help you with PTSD and addiction," he highlighted, pointing out its relevance, especially during the pandemic, where many have grappled with mental health challenges.

Offering a message of reassurance and advocacy for a re-evaluation of the therapy's potential, Lamar urged people not to fear but to understand its benefits.
