After spending ten days in camp, the mother of two departed the show due to health concerns at the end of November and took a plane back home to be with her kids.

Her departure was reportedly caused by her missing her family; it happened a few days after 50-year-old culinary critic Grace Dent also resigned.
At the time, a source told the Mirror, "She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means."
Before making her ultimate decision to leave the program, Jamie had expressed her wish to do so. She became agitated when Sam, the eventual winner, compared her to the child who cried wolf.
Speaking to Sam, Jamie said: "I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here. This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it. I think I've got to leave, I think I've got to leave."
Sam responded by saying she was "the girl who cried wolf." Enraged, Jamie Lynn replied: "I'm not the girl who cried wolf, I'm speaking honestly about my emotions."
Sam then said: "You're never leaving, you're going to be here longer than we are." But Jamie Lynn concluded: "I'm not crying wolf, I mean it every single time I say I want to leave!"
Jamie Lynn opted to quit due to harsh weather
As Jamie Lynn opted to quit due to harsh weather, her fellow campmate Nick Pickard disclosed that she had to wait "hours" to exit the program. Actor Nick of Hollyoaks stated that her departure was difficult because storms at the time nearly forced the camp's evacuation.
He said, We had 12 days of rain and once for 48 hours it did not stop. That was the night Jamie Lynn went and we had to all huddle, because the only place that's protected in there from the lightning is the Bush Telegraph because it's the only place that is reinforced with steel.
He added, “So we're all in there. And we were in there for ages. And that's when Jamie Lynn had the old like 'oh my god' moment.I think she told him just before that she was going on her medical grounds and we're all huddled in. That was the worst night by far because it was 48 hours non-stop.”
