Jennifer Lopez is a star who needs no introduction. The 54-year-old Queen of Dance, has carved out a remarkable position for herself in Hollywood not only in music and dance, but also as an actress. However, despite all the money and fame, Lopez does not seem to have successful and fulfilling relationships in her personal life. Let’s take a look at celebrities who are not very fond of her.
1. Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey in her memoir, ‘Meaning of Mariah Carey’ explained why she does not like JLo. She revealed that her former spouse and employer at Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, tried to sabotage her career by giving a sample of one of her songs to Lopez. “After hearing my new song, using the same sample I used, Sony rushed to make a single for another female entertainer on their label (whom I don't know),” Carey alleged.
2. Brandy
Brandy also reportedly took a dig at Lopez while supporting Carey in a social media post. The now-deleted post from 2017 showed the 45-year-old singer hugging Carey as the caption read, #SheKnowsMe in response to Carey's sarcastic remark about Lopez in which she said “I don't know her.”
3. Rihanna
Even Rihanna has nothing good to say about JLo. She called out Lopez years ago when it was rumored she was dating her on-again, off-again love interest, Drake. A source revealed in 2017 that the Barbadian singer referred to the ‘On The Floor’ songstress as a “traitor” before adding, “Rihanna and Jennifer used to be good friends. She’s even confided in JLo about her rocky relationship with Drake over the years. Rihanna is very hurt.”
4. Jenna Dewan
Jenna Dewan reportedly finds JLo fake. “Jenna can't stand Jen's over-the-top theatrical fakery. Jen never fails to ham it up when the cameras are rolling, and she hijacks the show. It seems she'd prefer if Jenna just stayed in the background,” a mole reportedly shared while referring to the time the two stars worked together on NBC's ‘World of Dance’.
5. Rosie Perez
Rosie Perez and JLo had worked together on ‘In Living Color’ but the experience was reportedly bad. Perez in her book, ‘Handbook for an Unpredictable Life,’ explained, “All of the girls were coming into my office complaining how she was manipulating wardrobe, makeup, and me, all to her advantage.” She also called the singer “some ghetto biatch.”
6. Ojani Noa
Lopez’s first husband Ojani Noa still has bitter feelings about his ex-wife. After the singer’s marriage to her latest husband, Ben Affleck, Noa reportedly said, “Ben is husband number four, I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life.” He added, “When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever. I wish her and Ben the best, but I'm not convinced it will last.”
7. Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj and JLo’s apparent feud goes back to 2012 when Minaj went as a guest performer on ‘American Idol’ and Lopez was the judge. After her set, the Trinidadian-born rapper reportedly asked the ‘Ain't It Funny’ singer, “I was hoping maybe I could come back and be a guest judge. JLo, can you scoot over a bit?” But Lopez’s reply was “I don't know if there's enough room for both of us.” Later, Minaj said backstage, “She didn't seem to be having it but she gonna have it. We were just joking around.”
8. Meghan McCain
The latest one to have a problem with JLo is Meghan McCain. She reportedly shared on her ‘Citizen McCain’ podcast, “She just is a deeply unpleasant person.” Recalling her experience with Lopez on ‘The View’, she added, “Whatever, you don't always have to be so nice. It was just surprising given that people like Kim Kardashian couldn't be more delightful. Also, when you're coming on a show for a 10-minute segment… just fake it 'till you make it for 10 f**king minutes.”
