WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Jesse Watters delivered a passionate and provocative commentary on the state of American democracy during his fiery analysis of the first presidential debate on 'The Five'.

Watters shared a colorful anecdote of his son, Jesse Jr, raising questions about the invocation of the 25th Amendment against former President Donald Trump versus its absence regarding President Joe Biden.

He recalled telling his son, "Son, you're asking the right questions," before a milk-spilling incident diverted their conversation.

Reflecting on a phone call with his liberal mother after the debate, Watters recounted, "My mom called afterward, and I said, 'Hello', didn't brag, didn't gloat. I just said, 'Get ready for the dictatorship'. Maybe it's not what you expect in your last twilight years but democracy is pretty much over."

He proceeded to dissect the June 27 debate between Trump and Biden, offering pointed critiques and predictions.

Watters said, "You see the [Biden's] face and you see Trump's face, and you think he's going to lose right there ... Then, the minute he opens his mouth you're like ... he's really going to lose," juxtaposing the candidates' debate performances to a historical showdown akin to Richard Nixon versus John F Kennedy.

Critiquing Biden's performance, Watters argued that Trump's debate strategy effectively neutralized critical issues like Medicare, abortion, and January 6, solidifying his forecast for a political fallout and a surge in the GOP candidate's polling numbers and fundraising post-debate.

Looking ahead, Watters predicted an uphill battle for Biden, citing upcoming events such as the Republican National Convention and potential controversies surrounding his family, particularly the legal challenges of his son. He questioned, "How's Joe Biden going to stop that momentum?"

As he concluded saying, "I don't know what's going to happen but if Barack and Bill say this is it ... this is the guy. He might just be in it to lose it."

Internet reacts to Jesse Watters' impassioned post-debate analysis

Netizens were quick to share their thoughts regarding Watters' analysis of the first presidential debate, especially his critique of Biden's performance.

One commented, "You’re so dramatic, Jesse Maybe you can take up acting in retirement when you’re out of the job for being a propagandist."

Another said, "Your mom oughta DISOWN YOU. I can only imagine when people ask her, she deny any relationship to you. A major disappointment to her. Where did she GO WRONG?"

"Why don’t You immigrate to Mother Russia and don’t forget to take Tucker Carlson with you," wrote a person, citing Watters and Carlson's fondness for Trump.

Someone else declared, "What piece of c**p." "Really not amusing, although I’m sure you think it is. 'Sad!'" wrote an individual.
