LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jillian Michaels thinks Oprah Winfrey is benefiting from the popular celebrity weight loss drug Ozempic.

Oprah making dollars from Ozempic drug

In an interview with PageSix, Jillian Michaels said , 'Oprah has a financial incentive with Ozempic. Oprah, I believe, is one of the biggest shareholders of WeightWatchers, and WeightWatchers is now in the Ozempic business."

She continued, “I believe [WeightWatchers] bought a company that provides access to these drugs, now there is a financial interest in these drugs. I think it’s important to put that out there right off the bat.”

As per Inc.com, “WeightWatchers is providing 'doctor-led access to prescription medication' including the Type 2 diabetes medication Ozempic.”

Futhermore, WeightWatchers CEO Sima Sistani told CNN last month, “What we are now saying is we know better and it’s on us to do better so that we can help people feel positive and destigmatize this conversation around obesity.”

Oprah had previously denied usage of weight loss medication

After dismissing rumors and labeling it an "easy way out," Oprah has now confessed to People, saying, "I now utilize it when necessary, as a tool to prevent yo-yoing."

Interestingly, Interestingly, she refrained from naming the specific drug, expressing, "The fact that there's a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier,she said.

"in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for, I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself,” she added.

In the past, Oprah, while emphasizing weight loss, stated, "It's everything. I know everybody thought I was on it, but I worked so damn hard. I understand that if I'm not also working out and staying vigilant about all the other aspects, it doesn't work for me."

Opra also said, “I had an awareness of [weight-loss] medications, but felt I had to prove I had the willpower to do it. I now no longer feel that way.”
