John Krasinski's brother Paul Krasinski is suing two former girlfriends, six 'Jane Does' for defamation
PLYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS: Actor John Krasinski’s brother Paul Krasinski is suing his two former girlfriends and six 'Jane Does' for defamation and “civil conspiracy” aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
Krasinski filed a lawsuit in the Plymouth Superior Court on Thursday, where he sued the women for aiming to destroy his reputation along with the reputation of the Plymouth charity he runs, The Farmhouse Retreat.
Paul Krasinski filed a lawsuit
In the lawsuit filed on Thursday, May 2, Krasinski sued his two former girlfriends - real estate agent Danielle Cyr DeFrias whom he dated in 2023, and public relations executive Jackie Bruno, whom he dated in 2024.
Krasinski claimed in the lawsuit that false accusations posted by the two women on social media have tarnished his reputation among his peers leading to the schools in Plymouth denying to work with his charity, which is described as a “non-profit organization dedicated to developing community, learning opportunities, and providing a safe space for people of all backgrounds to come together.”
Krasinski’s attorneys David H Rich and Evan A Johnson stated in the lawsuit that Cyr DeFrias and Bruno’s purported actions “have largely involved defaming the plaintiffs in the press, online and directly to [Kransiki’s] critical relationships through the perpetuation of knowing and intentional falsehoods and fabrications.”

The court papers further claimed that Krasinski’s two exes are part of a “much broader civil conspiracy” where six other Jane Does have made “false claims to the Internal Revenue Service, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Family Services.”
Krasinski’s lawsuit stated they allegedly had the “singular goal of humiliating, defaming and destroying Paul Krasinski and his charitable endeavor, The Farmhouse.”
According to Krasinski’s lawsuit, his ex-girlfriend Bruno has allegedly used her connections in the media to generate an overall negative sentiment about Krasinski through the newspaper Plymouth Independent.
Previously in April, the publication reported that “the town has issued cease and desist orders to Krasinksi” as he was reportedly “in violation of fire and building codes on his 10-acre property on Center Hill Road,” per The Boston Globe.
Bruno told the news publication when contacted, “Paul is using the schools, the town, and people’s generosity and hope for opportunity to his advantage. I have since learned he cannot be trusted.”
Paul Krasinski is demanding a jury
When Bruno and Cyr DeFrias were contacted by the Globe regarding the lawsuit, both of them said they were not served with the court papers yet.
Bruno further added, “I think his allegations speak for themselves. Why would one man need to sue eight women? With six of them not being named?”
She continued, “I’m saddened he stooped to this level, but I am not afraid. I may be silenced, but I believe this lawsuit will further expose the truth.”
Krasinski is now demanding a jury trial for an unspecified amount of damages from both his former girlfriends and the Jane Does along with attorneys fees and costs for the lawsuit.
